A few years back there was the long running Star Trek Fact Files, a series of magazines distributed in the UK, Europe and Australia by GE Fabbri, and was designed to give information about Star Trek from an in-universe point of view. It ran from 1997 to 2002, with 304 issues of 24 pages each, totaling a work of 7296 pages of in-universe information. Each magazine consisted of a number of articles, to be taken apart and filed under their respective sections, they in turn to be collected in several binders.
Why not do something similar with the Judge Dredd Megazine to compliment the new Judge Dredd Archives? You could have:
Section 1: Guide to Mega-City One
Section 2: Guide to the other Mega-Cities
Section 3: Guide to Luna City
Section 4: Guide to the Cursed Earth
Section 5: Guide to alien races and other worlds
Section 6: Equipment and Technology
Section 7: Drugs, deseases and remedies
Section 8: Justice Department Personnel Files
Section 9: Criminals and potential criminals (Citizens)
Section 10: Chronology / Timeline
Section 11: Index
It's a good idea, but The Mega-city Archives is already doing this, albeit quite badly.
How much money do you think I have ::)
I recently came across The A-Z of Judge Dredd: The Complete Encyclopedia from Aaron Aardvark to Zachary Zziiz, published in 1995. I would love to see an updated encyclopedia published of not only the Judge Dredd characters, but all 2000 A.D. characters, similar to the hardcover encyclopedias published by DC and Marvel Comics.
