Where are they now? old boarders...

Well DXB, eggs on legs, Deveon's Daddy, Oddboy, even grumpy old logan mighty be heading off...

Do old boarders never die, just smell that way? which old boarders can you recall and why?

They're all in my back garden. Even Coyle.

you know, having met you I don't find that too hard to believe  :o

Four of the five you mention are active on Facebook. I think people do just fade away, in message board terms.

Didn't DXB decide to leave, as opposed to 'fading away', in protest over the whole 'bantastic friday' affair?

Fair play to the bloke, he's stuck to his guns.  Still a shame though.

I dropped out of sight for a couple of months recently - I know, nobody noticed - and when I returned Steev, aka the little blue spooky cat bloke, who had been so prolific when I left was nowhere to be seen. I was surprised how quickly I noticed his absence so I suppose he must have made an impession on me.

I think that as long as the board has Trout to keep us on topic, Jim to swear at us when we say something stupid and Roger to molest our mothers and eat our meat the board will survive.

Don't think so -- I'm sure he just said he had a whole lot of other stuff going on. FWIW, I asked him to stay, but he was strangely unmoved .... and after I called him a c*nt and everything!

He left because of the fallout of the criticism of Tank girl and Rufus Dayglos comments referencing this board.

I didnt understand that reaction at all and i thought it was pointless but each to their own.

Funnily enough, I requested eggonlegs on facebook last night, thinking he was Bolt 01...but he's a cool enough fellow, so I won;t say 'mistakenly requested'  :P.

Oddly enough so did I - but that happy accident landed me back here so it was no great error I don't think.

I miss SBT - I think he had lots of other things going on, it wasn't just due to the Rufus stuff, but I hope he comes back soon.

Yep, me too.

I miss Karne.

I miss all of you.  Terribly.  After some time in the wilderness after the revamp, it's nice to be back, even in a limited fashion.  I'm spending more time here as far as I'm able, but with a one-year old (and his little brother now due in the autumn), it'll probably be the occasional catch-up and strafe-posting session.
