hiho all
i'm an american that tries to make it to the olde world every couple of years. and i would love to go to a 2000ad or general comic convention/outing next time we visit. is there a listing of the events in the uk.
does dredd-con still happen ??
thanks in advance
Sadly the Dreddcon is no more but if you want to go to the next best thing then get your arse up to the beautiful country that is known as Scotland and get to Hi-Ex! http://www.hi-ex.co.uk/ (http://www.hi-ex.co.uk/)
This is the brainchild of people who are on this very forum. Lets just say I went to this years and it was everything you would want from a con and much more. By the way the 2011 dates have been confirmed ;)
Have a look here and read what I thought http://cellarofdredd.blogspot.com/2010/04/hi-ex-hell-trek-weekend.html (http://cellarofdredd.blogspot.com/2010/04/hi-ex-hell-trek-weekend.html)
Maybe we'll get a Hell Trek from across the pond?
Anyone thinking of going to the London MCM expo ?
Or has anyone been before and what was it like?
I think i read a post where someone ( can't remember the name ) went with he's son and it looked like fun.
That would be me ;)

well we do usually pick up a camper in frankfurt & drive across the lowlands and around the uk, so helltrek it may be.
That would be great das and believe me it would be worth it!

Hey Commando,
Thank's for saying it was you. I remember when I read it,was very informative and nice pic's.
It looked like you both had a great time.
Think I'll go this year in October but not looking forward to the que's.
I'd like to go Hi-Ex but too much of a trek for me, and would probably be busy and all.
A mate went to the last one and said that the queues had been made a lot better and he only stood in line for, at the most 30 mins.
I did have good fun with a few of 2000AD droids in the comic village, in fact I'll have to check who's at the October one, might go depending on who's there!
Thank's for the info on the queue's Commando. 30 mins doesn't sound to bad at all and never know might see you there ;)
Well, there was a list of who would be at MCM but I reckon that was the list for the last one, I'm not sure. Any help on the subject would be much appreciated.
Many thanks, Will.
I looked on the website and couldn't find a list for the next con, just have to wait a little while till the names start to flood in. I've checked my days off and it looks like I may go on the Saturday (if I go).
are there any con/events happening around september ?
we usually travel AFTER the summer madness, (the camper rental is half of the prime summer season)
You could always give us a visit at BICS in October.
It's the UK's largest event devoted to comics and we have an incredible international guest list this year.

On some board's that I frequent this sort of thing often has a stick post where the first post is updated (presumably by a mod) with the details of forthcoming events
People then add their events to the thread underneath. Can this board software support that?
For the MCm expo, the guests that are listed, will they be there both days?
