Title: London Comic Con (March 2011)
Post by: starscape on 08 September, 2010, 12:48:46 PM
http://www.thefallenangel.co.uk/spexpo/london.htm

Sponsored by Fallen Angel Media, who do the Bristol Con.  It used to be the Small Press and Webcomic Thing but hopefully, with the emphasis on comics in general, it should get a few more star guests.  Tables are currently discounted at only £35 if you're a dealer/publisher, plus, from what the T&Cs say, you can cancel up until 1st Feb and still get your money back (but read the T&Cs first, in case I've misinterpreted).

I'm flying over from Egypt for this one on 12th March 2011.  Paul (von) Scott (Omnivistascope) has also agreed to do his bit as well (Tables 56 & 57 booked).

I would hope to have at least some of Starscape Storypaper, Red Sands comic, Warspite (historical action pocket comic), Dead/Ouija TPB, Planetfall TPB and a few more out by that time.

Be my first visit to the UK in about 2 years and my first convention in, oh, a few...(can't remember but probably one in Bristol).  Be nice to see you there.

Been a long time since I went to a convention. Last one was aged about 12 or so. I've been meaning to go to one for ages now and if there's one in London then I've got no excuse for not attending.

I'm up for this one too. I'm sure after I bring the sprogs to BICS they'll want more fun of this sort!

I've never been to a convention in my life...not sure it would hold that much interest for me to be honest since I only read a very small niche of comics...plus my other half already thinks i'm a nerd for even reading 2000ad so got knows how much abuse i'd get if I even though about going to a convention  :-\

I might be able to drag my wife and kids along to this one, seeing as its just up the road. Getting a train from here to london qualifies as a 'helltrek' as well, so result.

Oooh this might well be a better bet than Bristol to see everyone, as I could probably come down with the bairn during the day and send him home with mum in the Evening :)

Well- this event is this weekend! I've just finished sorting my routefinder for my co-pilot (Micro-Bolt) to aid me when traversing the wilds of Londinium.

I'm sad to report that PVS won't be there due to a dose of Omnivistalurgy, but I'll be there all day.

Is anyone else making the trip?

Oh bollocks forgot all about this one. Are there tickets still left or can you just rock up at the door?

Tempting.

Looking at their website, tickets will be available at the door.

All set up and ready to roll. Nice venue and david hine is wearing a 2000 ad t-shirt. Of one of his Dredd covers. Is that cool? Can't decide.
