Title: Selling My 2000ADs - Does Anyone Want Specific Issues?
Post by: betel_uk on 26 September, 2010, 01:58:07 PM
Hi guys,
I guess some may see it as bad form to join the forum just to punt my comics, but I wanted to offer first dibs on most of my collection to 2000AD fans rather than going straight to eBay / car boot with everything...

Times are hard and space is limited so the time has come for me to shift my entire collection. Anyone out there who's after specific issues to plug gaps in their own collections? I'll happily root through and dig out the issues you're after if you let me know... just get in touch with anything you'd like to get hold of and I'll see if I have it and what condition it's in.

I can see from the rules I'm supposed to quote prices so I'll default to the valuations Wake provided in the Classified Rules Thread:

Progs 201-500 £1 each
Progs 501-1199 50p each
Progs 1200-1499 £1 each

Happy to talk discounts if you're buying multiple issues. I'll post at actual cost and send everything out in card-backed envelopes. Alternatively, I'm in Leicester if anyone wants to collect in person (and travel to Coventry and Dorset fairly frequently so could drop copies off if you're on the way to either of those places).

Thanks for looking and hope I have something you're interested in...

Ian

Such a genuine shame that you're resorting to selling your collection.. :'(

Been a while since I heard back from Buddy (Uncle Umpty) who I had spoke to about getting his copiues.  But I am looking for Progs 791-802 to complete Zenith Book 4.

Cheers,
Lee

:( I know, I know... but they've been stacked away in boxes for years and I haven't looked at them for ages. It's been quite cool to get them out and have a look through a few old progs I haven't read for years... happy memories!  :)

But if I can share the thrill power out a bit with people here then at least some good will have come of it!

Tried to PM you but I don't seem to be able to... it's very probably "user error"!

I've got all those progs if your other source hasn't come through... I've just dug them out and they all look very tidy... the Micro Guides are still attached to Progs 800, 801 & 802.
Let me know if you're interested...

:-[ My collection is currently split across 2 locations and the most recent progs are, I'm afraid, over 200 miles away! But now I know someone's after high numbers I'll dig out that box next time I'm there...
Also, I'm not 100% certain how high my collection goes (I stopped buying a few years ago now) so I can't be sure I'll have all of those... but I'll have a look and get back in touch.

Thanks for the interest...

Newcastle, so I think Royal Mail is going to be the cheaper option!

Hi chaingunchip...
I've only got progs up to around 950 here with me - I may have some higher ones in the other part of my collection, but they're 200 miles away...

I notice you've made contact with another seller about the progs you're after. See how you get on with them, and get back in touch if you don't have any joy.

Happy hunting!

:) :D :P :lol:Excellent comic seller, comes highly recommended. He also comes to your house with loads of comics and no delivery charge. Sold me over 450 recent comics at a great price, and even sourced a few odd ones I needed. Comes highly recommended.

hi Betel,

do you still have the following 2000ad issues for sale?

205  228  233  234  245  246  260

thats all i need as my originals ones are a wee bit damaged over the years and I could do with better copies.

Cheers

Actually I have the 200 range up on eBay at the moment:

Have a look at the Flickr pictures linked to from that listing and see if the quality of those progs (I have them all) is OK for you...

If you're interested after looking, PM me...

Met up with Betel last week to collect a dozen or so issues he dug out for me. 10/10 all in top condition, most happy with the price and he's a fine chap to boot. Sterling service. Thanks Ian.
