Dan is sending one of his clones along to Waterstone's in Earl Street Maidstone, on the 30th October 12:00-13:00.
He said if anyone wants to bring any books along to be signed he'd be more than happy to do that. Obviously there will be a large range of Dan's stuff available to buy on the day, if you so wish!
I'll be popping along and I thought I'd open a thread about it and if anyone has any questions that they would like me to put to Dan, then I would be more than happy to do this! These can be on any of his works, Warhammer, 2000AD, US stuff, Triumff, etc...
So ask away and if any of you are in the area pop in and say hello
Geekdom!
Is he [Dan Abnett] currently working on another WH40K Horus Heresy book?
Is he doing anything for 2000AD? :)

How many times can you refry beans?
Does he keep a notebook to hand which he jots punning names into or does he come up with them when he is writing?
I totally mis-read the title of this thread and thought
My God, he sings too?!!
Come on you lot, you must have some more questions you want asked. After all, it is this Saturday!
Who are his favourite authors of today? And best wishes to him as I understand he was ill recently.
(also what 40k army does he field if any-or would of he did?)
Well OK, and thanks for the kind offer too by the way.
He uses the many-Angled Ones in his recent Marvel Cosmic work - was this a deliberate tip of the hat to Grant Morrison (who seems to have invented the term) or had it insinuated itself into his subconscious like a black thread through his synapses?
It'd be pointless to ask if there will be more Marvel Cosmic, as he has already said the decision lies with Marvel editorial :(
Sooooooo how about: Did the Only War Omnibus and Blood Of The Empire Omnibus editions of his Boom! Studios WH work (which he did with Ian Edginton) ever surface? They popped up on Boom's site but seems to have now disappeared. Any more plans for WH40k comicy goodness other than the Ultramarine film tie-in GN?
Is Dan aware of the popularity of Kingdom ?
Is he surprised by the popularity of it ?
What potential does he see for the character and the strip ?
Is he happy to keep writing new books or does he see it being ended at any time in the near or not so near future ?
What would he do if his son was at home, crying all alone on the bedroom floor, and he's hungry and the only way to feed him is to sleep wit' a man for a liddle bitta money, yo?
Just a reminder that tomorrow is when I will be asking Dan all these questions, including Roger's.
Any more questions folks?
Well, I went down earlier to ask Dan the questions and due to there being a bit of a queue, a lot of noise (dictaphone would not have picked it all up) and the local paper taking pics of Dan I didn't get them all answered, also I didn't want to piss the queue off. He's took my list and will get back to me with more full versions of the answers but for now here are some short answers.
Emperor, yes he keeps a notebook, he showed me his latest one full of names. He also has a system where he goes through his notebook when it is full and takes the best names and puts them into a more ordered book.
Peter Wolf, he is just finishing off the next book of Kingdom at the moment.
IAMTHESYSTEM, his latest Horus Heresy book will be out in December 'Prospero Burns'.
Like I said those are just some quick answers, the full answers will be revealed when he gets back to me. Nik (his wife) did say that they may film the Q&A's and put them onto his Youtube site. It all depends on how busy he is.
By the way, I managed to get myself into the picture for the paper as the photographer demanded it. I knew I should have worn a bloody Dredd T-shirt ::)
Thanks of doing that but... this:

Epic Fail, on a level with the recent Buttonman failures :(
I thought you always wore a Dredd T-shirt, always, no exceptions. The only upside would have been if you'd been standing there in a "I'm With the Primary Clone" t-shirt which had an arrow on it pointing to Dan Abnett.
