...this classic RPG board game.

Tcccch!  Pet peeve alert!   If there's one thing D&D isn't, it's a board game.  Unless it's the, err, board game you're playing.

Well, 4th edition pretty much is a board game with all the combat rules being very heavily miniatures-based...

Point.

I was hoping the Doc meant Basic or something more civilised, but there is a strong possibility she means 4th Ed.  Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Apologies in advance cos I'm going to pimp another site... Heeeeere we go!

If RPGs are your thing, or even if you're nostalgic for them, you might want to check out rpgmp3 (http://www.rpgmp3.com). It's got stacks of audio recordings of people playing rpgs of all sorts (even dare I say D&D 4E!). They're all free and the supporting forums are a friendly place.

Right. That's me pimping all done. Ta muchly for your attention, good people! :D

Ps. Let us know how it goes!

I'm a role-player (details below) if you have Provence getting enough people locally I can recommend roleplaying via skype done 2 sessions of an alternative 1930s spy game now & it's been good fun.

Man, I wish I still had the time and money to do this sort of thing!

I fear though, that any plot ideas I would come up with now as a DM I would try to sell, rather than waste them on 'friends'...

BTW, Kehaar- I listened to the LotR podcast yesterday- good stuff!
