On Sunday morning my good lady and her best friend jet off to St Lucia. Carolyn's auntie lives there and so they will be staying with her and her hubby. I have already told her auntie that she will only ever see me when a theme park is built on the island, plus I lived near the sea for 18 years, yes folks Hartlepool is just as good as St Lucia, any day of the week.
Now I have my 3 jobs for the week:-
First and foremost, I have to keep Sam alive and try not to let us both catch scurvy.
Secondly, I have to decorate the dining room, our bedroom and the bathroom.
Thirdly, I have to keep the chickens alive.
Now for the rest of the time we can slob out and do what we like. I am thinking about doing that indoor skydiving at Milton Keynes but after that we seem to have done most other things in the South.
Any ideas on what we can do folks!
Play the Judge Dredd Boardgame. Loads.

Play the Judge Dredd Boardgame. Loads.
You mean actually open it and touch the things inside :o
You mean you don't have one for playing & one for keeps?
I don't - but ours has been played a million times & is still in pretty good shape (tracing paper between the boards & everything! ;) )
Try and avoid Ebay for a week! ;) :D
I'm home alone too (save the cats) and watched 4 episodes of 'The Sweeney' ate some Sports Mixture and am presently watching the bootleg cut of 'Almost Famous'. After that I've got the last couple of levels of the Dredd game on the Wii (Gamecube).
Rock and indeed roll.
That's a veritable orgy of selfdom.
Read some comics.
Send me Case Files 11.

I've been to Hartlepool and I don't believe you.
I've been to paradise but I've never been to me.
You could spend some time listening to your Gary Glitter records.
I got tickets for that mk skydiving for my birthday - haven't been yet so let me know what it's like. Ta. You could build a den under the table and read comics by torchlight with Jaffa cakes and pop.
Just out of curiosity.. how does indoor skydiving work?

Sort of like normal skydiving with a roof.

This sort of think without the chick would be my guess.

Oh I figured that. I was just thinking the roof would be rather a limiting factor due to the nature of the beast, i.e. falling a long way before activating a parachute.

A kind of ground wind jet thing to simulate free-fall? I thought that might be the case.
Looks fun. I wouldn't want to try the real thing. Or ordinary parachuting for that matter.
That's the stuff, the one I'm thinking of going to is this one http://www.airkix.com/ (http://www.airkix.com/) You go up and down a long tube and it looks quite good fun, as you will see from clips on the site.
As for ebay, I must admit that I can't remember the last time I bought any Dredd stuff off it. There is NOTHING out there :'(
Looks fun, but that website's very vague when it comes to how much time you get per 'flight' - I scoured it and found one mention of "two minutes", which seems bloody expensive!
The family ticket is 10 mins for £160 off peak or £180 peak. Obviously that works out 9 mins for me and 1 for Sam ;)

Is it possible you have now bought all credible merchandise AND tat relating to everyones favourite Judge? :o
There's that one elusive piece of tat. It wants to be found...it wants the cellar...

Oh dear god, it just won't go away!!
Stop it JOE SOAP ;)
Well the week has gotten off to a terrible start.
It seemed as if everyone was conspiring against me at work, just to stop me getting back home before Carolyn left for her flight. Luckily due to my great skill I managed it with 3 minutes to spare.
Next up, Sam stayed at Grannies while I had my sleep, later before we all sat round for Sunday dinner he was sick but has since recovered. Don't know why he suddenly felt bad and before you say it Granny is a great cook and we ate everything. That will be the last vegetable for the week!
I've just got home and saw that we had a message on the phone from one of Carolyn's friends husband. I rang him back and was told that his wife had had a stroke and was in hospital. I can't mention this to Carolyn and her friend out there as the three of them always go out together and they'll be worried sick.
I told you the week started bad.
Tomorrow, we are going to get all the decorating stuff and put the T-shirt designs in to be made (from another thread). Let's hope the week improves!

The old Steetly Magnesite works looked like heaven to me, pity they wouldn't let us film there. :(

I'm old..
Do you know what would improve your week? Knowing that certain people have received what they have had coming to them. Like a people who won a competition to win a book. Maybe this book is the eleventh book in the series. Maybe this book is about a cop, and it's about all the cases he police-does.

maybe he's got gary glitter to personally deliver it to your
ass sorry,house.
I can't believe it, after a good laugh last night we went to sleep just before 01:00, I awake by saying hello to the bog from both ends! I've sent Sam up to Grannies and I am now entrenched on the sofa going through The Pacific on Bluray.
What shit start, still I phoned Carolyn up and she's having a great time ::)
Sods law, mate..
This week is not going according to plan. Last night we stayed up till gone 2, today Sam woke me at 12:45 oops!
We are now in a greasy spoon having a full English.
Feeling better all round but the decorating is getting pushed back
that's more like it... at least your not still decorating the toilet bowel :D
The fun part of this week is all going to schedule but the decorating is a massive fail
At the moment I'm sat in 'wear em out' while Sam runs amok! Later its the England match followed by Pizza Hut, this is the life.
I have managed to do one load of washing, it's still on the airer and I may get around to ironing it before Carolyn gets back.
Tomorrow will be our second meal with vegetables, as we will be back up Grannies. The first was last Sunday
