Although 'four days earlier' a flying saucer wrote 'cocks' on the moon and in present day it's disappeared!

Actually, the graffiti was cleaned off by public spirited moon people who live in a huge underground cave.

I love this! I'm so pleased to see none of it was in earnest. Last panel of the third page, totally unexpected. Lasered moon graffiti looks like a nod to The Tick; bonus points for gratuitous profanity.
