Has Tharg permanently reduced Futureshocks to four pages?
The last few (including this week's Time Twister) have all been four pages long.
I'm just wondering about script submissions. The Official Word has always been that a script should be for five pages, hasn't it? Should it now be four?
PS - Sorry if I've missed a comment about this already; I did a quick search and saw nowt.
Being 'in' the future now demands less shock.
There has not been anything that I recall seeing- it may be a case of Tharg, in his infinite wisdom, receiving a five page script that he likes, but he wants it tightened up. Or maybe he's got a drawer with several in of different lengths and he matches them to the requirements of the prog he's building...
Either way- if Tharg likes the script- he'll get in touch with feedback.
Probably down to how both the strip and the prog is laid out - sooner or later they'll need a four-pager to ensure the 'twist' happens after a page-turn if it follows directly on from a strip that wraps on a left page. I imagine lately they've just had a couple laying about or there's been a particular hole in the prog needed filling without cutting into pre-sold advertising space.
Theres been a bunch of stuff of late that's been six pages - often times it's one of Pat's. Maybe tharg needed to readjust the futureshocks to fill the gap.
That's PROFESSOR Pat to you!
:D
Or 'professor pat mills, purveyor of thrills', to give him full title.
