I have to do the above to survive and want to move into using Flash for animations and hopefully eventually games.
There must to be folks on here who use Flash and I was wondering if they had any books about the subject they'd recommend?

I had to learn Flash animation for a work performance assesment years ago and picked up all the basics from an online video tutorial. I'd check this route first before buying any books. The advantage of the videos is you can actually see where he's going onscreen for the various pull downs and menus that are used.
I'll check my work machine on Monday for the actual tutorial link I used because I'm sure it's saved as a favourite.
