With just over 4 weeks till the Bristol Con just wondered who is going and will there be a Shed:Con on the Friday night?

Tis possible. JUST OVER FOUR WEEKS :O
I'm arriving on the Friday and will be staying at the Mercure, so I'll definitely be around for drinks, although I can't rule out the possibility that I'll be working again which may keep me in my room until later in the evening...
Cheers!
Jim
Only four weeks?! Bloody Hell! I'd better start getting ready now. :D
I'll be driving down on the Friday (and staying at the Ramada), so will be well up for a jar or two on the Friday night.
I'll be going , not decided whether to go up on the Sat morning as it's only 45 mins away on the train or stay overnight just to be early there in the morning.
Well I think there should be a full blown Shed:Con on the Friday night.
Beer, chat, a raffle and the signed (possibly scribbled on Prog) to send to a boarder who couldn't attend.
Mrs. Locust and I will be there.
I'll take any request for American goodies. I know I've got to get Bolt some Mountain Dew and Commando Forces some Wild Cherry Pepsi...anyone else?
I have the bug now guys. Looks like I will be going to Bristol because by a sheer stroke of luck the youngest is moving down there to his brothers coz of work and the mrs wants to go and see em, so me being ever so thoughtful suggest we go and see em in about 4 weeks at the weekend and she bought it bless her.
Happy Days.
I'll be there! Soo looking forward to it. :D
I wasn't planning on going to this but I can't resist, so I'll be there! Train and con tickets are cheap enough but hotels not so much. I may end up in a hostel dorm instead!
I'll be arriving early Sat, along with Dunk! so I'll have to pass on this I'm afraid.
We'll be there for the Saturday. It means missing out on the Friday festivities, but if anyone's left standing on Saturday evening I hear the bar may still be open.
I live for the Saturday bar life.
just booked all my tickets and such yesterday.woohoo drinkin and comics always good.
Leonia and I will be arriving in Bristol far too early on the Friday morning, so we'll be around for any pre-con gatherings!

Me and the hawt wife (tm) will be there from Saturday morning and are doing an overnighter.
As is traditional at Bristol I expect to be in the Wetherspoons around the corner by 4 at the very latest, then back into the Ramada bar for about 8 or 9. Hopefully pissed enough not to require too many of their horrendously expensive drinks.
I might try and be clever and stash bottles in the hotel room as well... all adds to the disposable comic money
I'm driving down Saturday morning so I'll have to give the Shedcon a miss. Saturday evening I'll definitely be up for a couple of weak lemon drinks.
Booked train and ticket but now I'm torn - do I pay £130+ for two nights in a bland business hotel close to the con; or £37 for a bunk in a shared dorm in a hostel. It's over a mile away, no privacy and probably very little sleep, but it does mean lots more money for comics.
urrrgh - Cash or Comfort? Sleep or Spondulicks? Cable telly or Constant noise? Privacy or Pissed up backpackers? Handy or hassle?

Just got tkts!
DDD gonna stay at the YHA

if u're thinking of hostel-ing it so u won't be the only old geezer complaining about the noise! :)
Cheers

Not too far from the gig either
The YHA is fully booked for the Saturday night, but there are another couple of hostels, one of which is called the "Rock'n'Bowl Motel" which doesn't bode well for a peaceful night's sleep!
Woohoo! problem solved - a mid-price B&B found and booked. Looking forward to catching up with some old faces and meeting some new ones! May be a bit late for any friday evening meet-ups, but will defo be in the bar Saturday.
Could someone let me know what pub on Friday and do we have a plan of action for sat night? Setters ions sounds good and cheap!

It's usually the bar in the Ramada.
