...despite my funds and my confidence being awfully low!!! :(
Test date: Monday 04/07/2011 Test start time:12:43
Ah well, good luck - the only reason I passed first time was because I my examiner was "Nervous" Norman and I think I scared him so badly he passed me, rather than have to face the prospect of getting in a car with him again. He did issue me with a verbal warning about driving on the wrong side of the road when there is an oncoming vehicle, I was so surprised I didn't point out that a) he was being a bit of a girlscout about the whole thing (it was miles away, well not quite but still) and that I'd do far more frightening things during my lessons (like a Planes, Trains and Automobiles moment involving a skip and a bus). Although I don't recommend frightening them into submission as a strategy, as some aren't so easy to scare.
tough luck mate. The best driver's never pass first time!
Best tip is to act as a taxi driver as often as possible for any family member who's willing to accompony you, so that you can get loads of practice. After my 2nd fail, I spent the college hols driving my mum around as she did her delivery rounds for the family business - sailed through the next test.
As the great George Michael once said "You gotta have faith!"
YOU know that you can do it, so before the next test just put it out of your mind by watching crap films and the like. The more you ponder on what happened and what might happen the worse you will be.
Good Luck!
I passed third time,if I had failed that time I was getting ready to tell him to get it out but don't expect me to swallow.

Keep fighting buddy. You will get there.

Look on the bright side. I know somebody who knocked someone over on his first try (she survived, luckily they were only 20ft from a phone box and an ambulance arrived promptly)
next time i have a go i'm wearing a short skirt.
I passed second time! Getting straight back in there is definitely the way, I'd say. Go for it, matey!
Good luck, Bat's. You'll get there in the end.
Yeah, that's rough, but get right back in there. Just look at all the absolute morons who can legally drive and you'll realise it's entirely doable.
