This is my model of Judge Harry Heston from the pages of W.R. Logans' 'Class Of '79' fanzine from a few years ago. Designed by J.T. Pegg and with his first two appearances in Co'79 illustrated by Henry Flint. Its 95% finished and sculpted in milliput and super sculpy standing apprx 8". Theres a couple of other pics and more about Co'79 with some of J.T's Harry pieces here-

Brilliant. That's a quality professional piece you have there! Are you going to paint it as well?
Nice one, yeah Im goin to make a start in the week, hopefully get it finished soon.
Awesome Fett, bags of personality - I love it :D
Cheers CFM- It was loads of fun to do. Have you read the Harry Heston strips?
Yes - completely I bloody love Flint - what we need is a SHAKARA FIGURE
:O
Very, very nice!
Cheers Bat King- @CFM- Shakara's on my list!
Beautiful!
The eagle's head on the badge and buckle is facing the wrong way.
Cheers Adrian, @ Cravenoir- its the right way round on the badge just obscured by some ash. I may change it on the buckle though.
Beg pardon, my mistake. :)
Lovely, lovely work there - looking forward to seeing the fella painted.
"Shakara's on my list!" Hah! I'm in the middle of making him. Will be interesting to see how you go about yours.
Mine's proving to be an expensive bastige to build :|

Nice one Mangamax. What are you making your Shakara out of and how big is he goin to be? Ill probably do mine to the same sort of scale as the Harry Heston model using the same materials. Is yours kit bashed/ scratch built or are you sculpting it from scratch? I look forward to seeing it.
Its a great big bust - and i ain't talking Eva ::)
Went that route as i can't face sculpting the chain links so am using the real deal - which makes him quite big at about 1/3rd scale.
Even with it being just head and shoulders, i've used up the entire stock from my B&Q and will have to go off to another towns for more. Will post pics then.
I saw a progress shot on your blog Mangamax- looking good- I see what you mean re- the chain- reckon I may sculpt mine if I cant source something suitable...
Harry Hestons getting a paint job btw. Pics soonish.
Heres painted Harry, done in a B/W and greyscale scheme to look like he's 'off the page'. Im just working on the base and some weapons for him now.

Top marks Judge Fett! This is bloomin' brilliant!
Cheers MGB, Im goin to start Shakara soon. Ill post up a couple of older Dredd ones too.
That's excellent - ! Can't wait to see your Shakara - ! :D
Nice. Really like that.
That looks bloody smart!
THRILL POWER OVERLOAD!!
No one apes the law!
Looks great 8-)
Outstanding!
Jealous much. My modelling ability was adequate for converting figures to interesting depuctions of creatures in my D'n'D campaign many years ago but I never got this level of skill.even in sight
Cheers you guys, much appreciated! In other news I started Shakara and he is going to be an utter bastard to get right,so I may work on something in the meantime that will be a bit quicker. I think Harry Heston took me two days to sculpt the body (not includingpainting it etc) and when I initially started it about an hour or two on the head- about three days in all to make with the setting times of the epoxy clay.
How tall does he stand?
He's about 8" tall, the base he stands on is the same size as a cd to give an indication.
That's a pretty substantial model then.
Working at that size for me is quite satisfying in terms of how much detail I can put into a piece. Ive got an old Dredd McMahon bust I made a while back which is maybe 3" and a 12" unfinished articulated Dredd zombie figure too (It was originally just going to be a regular Dredd figure but I think I wasnt happy with the head sculpt so 'zombified' it). Its been sitting around gathering dust for a while, now the new Meg has a zombie Dredd Ill think about finishing it.
