Having just noticed an article on Twitter (http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/news/fullstory.php/aid/14692/Stormtroopers_and_zombies_to_the_fore_for_comics_festival.html), I thought it would be best to start a thread that will build up to a massive crescendo as we arrive at the event that is called, Hi-Ex! 2012
As you can see from that article, there are two guests already confirmed for next year and they are-
Boo Cook & Simon Davis
Best get in the queue for sketches from them two asp ;)
What are the queues like at Hi-Ex? Are they as long as they were at Kapow or more tolerable?
Nothing in this country could be as long as the queues at kapow! I loved the event but it was a whole new level of waiting...
The queues are a lot easier to manage at Hi-Ex. A little tip, first thing Sunday is the best time to get one without much waiting, well that is if the artist has managed to get up as well ;)
Edit: I managed to get quite a few sketches and I wasn't even trying, at first!
I LOVE BOO COOK AND SIMON DAVIS
A pedant asks: "Isn't a crescendo the build up itself?"
My best sketches were obtained sat in a pub chatting away to artists rather than queueing. But yeah, generally the queues are much smaller.
Not a bad way to start, this is going to be good, isn't it.
One of the friendliest events you're ever likely to go to. Q's? Nah.
