Matt Smith, editor of 2000 AD, said:
"The gatefold cover showing Dredd in a scene from the post-atomic American civil war is one of the defining images of Dredd from the first few years of 2000 AD so this is the perfect vessel for drinking the synthi-poison of your choice."
Ooh, a dilemma. Do I use the McMahon or the Bolland? Or maybe one for tea and one for coffee?
WANT.
And ordered. Jump to it, droids!
now that for subscribers would be ace... rather than a giant size tshirt
Ah man, now I have to start drinking tea (or coffee). Can this thing hold water?

How about a heat-sensitive visible man one? :)
I got mine a day early, thanks Keith, and road tested it with a cup of tea last night, worth every penny ! ;)
ooh nice. I may have to 'accidentally' break a few lesser mugs to make room in the cupboard!

Great Idea!
Come on, the obvious heat sensitive ones have to involve the female characters from 2000ADs history ;)

i keep trying that she only finds more flowery ones!
Thats a lovely choice of cover. The question is though how big is it. I like my cuppa to be a big cuppa. Would this hold a big cuppa?
It's my favourite cover so I bought three, for the inevitable colour fade over the coming years. Funny that this cover becomes physical merchandise before it's even a fully fleshed-out story.

That's what I was thinking... now this is a cup, does that make it one step closer to official continuity status?

Only if
Wagner drinks from it.
Genius, Joe, genius.
I KNEW this thread had something to do with mugs!
Thanks smart pills!

Paintbrushes?
It has been 19 hours since I ordered my mug and it is still not here!
Tharg needs to send some droids to Mek Quake! ;)
It is here.
It is beautiful.
It is encased in so much careful packaging that it could have had half a dozen eggs in with it and still have arrived safely.
Thanks, oh mechanical minions of the Mighty One!

But how big is it? The question that burns me. Will it hold a big cuppa?
It's about the same size as the ones with the villains on, from a few years ago.
Seems fine to me.
All these questions about will it hold a cuppa - are you mad? It is to be carefully displayed and to never have liquids touch its shiny surface! Some people ::)
Well actually you'd think I'd learn from mistakes past. I broken both my Dredd mugs I got for having a letter and art printed in the 80s, by you know actually using them (they were too small I should point out) in my student days. The one I managed to piece together is now used as a pen pot.
Found a red postal note on the door mat and thought 'bollocks'
Only to find that the postie had put the parcel in one of our many bins.
The mug is now on display in the cellar :D
Is this new one about the same size as the free Bolland one from a while back?
I neeeed them to match.
I've dropped massive hints to my wife about getting this for my birthday in a week or so.
Sorry, didn't get the Bolland one.
I just had an excellent, thrill-powered cup of tea, while reading issues of Zarjaz.

Ordered mine - but will it be the same drinking tea while reading digital progs?
Got mine today :D
Looking splendid next to the Bolland one surrounded by all the mugshots. Any more and I'll need a bigger window ledge.
£8 for a cup is extortion
I've ordered two ::)
Mine still not turned up yet. Am drinking tea out of a pansy mug.
Got it. Had two cuppas already. Most zarjaz it is.
Just got mine, now enjoying a nice cup of synthi caf.
Mine is now stained with tea. :D
