Anyone else got serious wind?
70mph to 80mph gusts here. It's wild. All the trains between Glasgow and Edinburgh were cancelled - that's worse than at the height of last year's snow, when they reduced the service to three an hour an everyone moaned.
Finally struggle home after a couple of hours in a... well, a storm. Living at one of Central Scotland's highest points has its downsides.
had a couple of coppers guarding a tree on garstang rd tonight that had fallen down...and my recycling box is omewhere on the estate...
Crazy here in Dublin as well today, nearly lost my cap a few times before I took it off and stuffed it in my bag! Not nice when coupled with stinging rain, I got a right soaking going both to and from work today. At one point, I heard, there were winds of 140kph in certain parts of the country...that's....wow! Came home to find a load of branches broken off the trees outside our house - and my kids, along with the neighbours kids, making a tent out of it!!! They wanted to eat their dinner outside amongst these branches. Would have been an interesting dinner. "Where's my pizza???!" "There it goes!!!"
It's either the Rapture, just a few days late!!!
Or
It's God farting!!!

Crazy here in Dublin as well today...
Took me more than 2 hours to get home because of trees down all over the south city, and every damn Guard off babysitting O'Bama instead of diverting traffic. Grrrr.
Don't know about outside but my arse is rancid and has been for quite a few days now.

You have a state visit from the Emperor and all you worry about is fallen trees and blocked roads and traffic chaos ??
The police were doing a very important job protecting the Emperor and all those terribly important people in dark suits.
This was terrible as the Emporers car within the Emperors Imperial motorcade runs into difficulties leaving the Embassy in Dublin. What a terrible mishap !
