Hello all,
I've been looking for books from the GOR series - if you've got spare copies of any of them and want to get rid of them, please PM and maybe we can work something out!!!
Actually, I'm trying to build up my library, so I'm pretty much interested in any Fantasy or Sci-Fi novels you might be looking to unload - preferably HB, but let me know what you've got in SB too! Much appreciated!
I have the first two stinking up my bookshelf you can have. I was planning on burning them at some point anyway.
Woo hoo Emps!!! I'll PM you shortly sir!!! Only...what? 27 more to track down...?
Hi, I've got the first 7 but in paperback (1st edition mind! ), plus probably 300+ sci fi / fantasy / horors too if you interested?! PM us if you after any particular authors
Locusts, im glad the above gentlemen have come to your aid, because i visited my local secondhand bookshop as promised, and he's sold all his Gors. He had two complete sets, he said, and two blokes came in together and bought the lot.
However, he does have (probably) 6-700 other sf/fantasy on the shelves, and twice that number in the back room in storage, so let me know if there's anything you're particularly after. His prices go from about a quid up to about £3.50 for paperbacks.
Also, for anyone nearby, he has a huge stack of late 90s to mid 2000s progs, boxes of beanos and dandys and a few boxes of u.s indies, at present. Plus all the usual piles of old uk annuals.

SBT, sounds like I need to visit that place next time I'm down that neck of the woods.......
I think I have about 20+ of the Gor series just need to try and find what I'm missing!

It's called Albion Books, and is in George Street in the Old Town. Just along the road, on the other side, from Andrew's old shop. In fact Andrew would know it as "the shoe shop at the end of the road". Run by Graham, it's open every day except Monday (from memory), but never opens until at least eleven and has a habit of suddenly closing if he wants to go to the pub. Triple fronted bookshop, one window devoted to comics and annuals, one to general stuff and one to witchcraft and morris dancing. You're a big lad though Large48, so you might have to breathe in once you're inside- or hop- as there tends to be just about enough space for my delicate little size 8s, in little paths around the mountains of books and spinning racks.

That's easy - taste! ;)
I am fascinated to know what your plans are for shipping this lot back to the States when you finally leave!

That's a fine name for a bookshop.
You have a PM locust!
My goodness, there were actually two GOR movies filmed in the 80's...how did I, purveyor of cheesy 80's barbarian flicks, ever miss those?!
I have all the Gor books bar the last which was only released in the states. I gave up reading them after about the 10th or so as they weren't particularly good and the writing got more and more rambling about how great it was raping women. I also have the films on VHS somewhere but they are total tosh and oddly have not a bit of t&a in them which the younger me was hoping for.

Hmmmmmm...you don't happen to want to sell me the books, do you? :D :D :D
some of them would be 'reading copy' only. I know my fighting slave of gor got soaked with ribena in a school chums satchel many years ago and never recovered properly. Ive recently moved so all I can say is they are in boxes somewhere. I'll have a look but wont promise anything till I've looked them out. Pretty sure they are still there though.
Cheers, James. I'm not too worried about the condition of 'em! Much appreciated!
I just want to bump this thread...I now have the first two books, with, obviously, loads more to find/claim...
Can i just ask one of the moderators to change the title of this thread? It offends my english language A Level sensibilities, because quite obviously it doesnt scan. 'Gor' in no way rhymes with 'Law', if you come from the isle of iona, several places in wales, or nempnet thrubwell in avon. Sort it out, Locusts, sort it out!

There was a long and rambling Gor discussion on a thread ages ago, including pics of some clown who lives the life with his slave wife... sorry can't remember which thread though

I wasn't even aware of the sex cult-thingy until Emperor emailed me about it! And I could only think, wow, a sex cult sprung up from a series of books I used to read when I was 10 or 11? My parents were not on the ball!!!
And sbt, where I come from "Gor" does not rhyme with "law", but if it's good enough to put on the cover of the Meg... :D.
Ok I've found 21 of them so only a couple missing (http://tapatalk.com/mu/520bed19-dbd9-091a.jpg) if you still want them
