Title: Times when you know something is to dam expensive but you still want it
Post by: Cyberleader2000 on 01 August, 2011, 09:45:04 PM
Ok everyone has problay done this been shopping online or in a shop seen something and said to them self dam that's expensive but I really want it. Has anyone else's had this problem and what was the item in question?

Well for me it happen today when a friend of mine on twitter sent me this link http://yokattaweb.jp/store/preorder/229-figuarts-dark-precure.html now normally this is not my sort of thing but this is one of my favourite characters.

So seeing as it happened I thort I wounder if anyone else's has ever had to think dam that's expensive can I really afford to get that even thro I really want it?

The only way to resist temptation is to give in immediately. Guitars. I buy Fenders even though I'm the worlds worst guitarist and even have the top of a left pinkie finger missing making all those nice jazz chords mostly impossible.

Maybe I'm punishing myself -ah, but isn't that the job of Madam X in her dungeon of correction?

Many a time I have had to turn away from stuff.
All you need to do is hint. That is how I got My super deluxe AT-AT, Christmas can be a god send.

Nice figure. I have a bit of a weakness for these, have a load of Rei Ayanami (Evangelion) figures up on the shelf over the wardrobe. Thing is, I visit Akihabara in Tokyo any time we go to Japan, and there are a load of little 'treasure shops' around that have these models on sale second-hand for a fraction of the price...and by second-hand I mean as good as bloody new as people take great care with these things. You have to wait a while for newer ones to turn up , but that doesnt bother me as we only visit once a year, if even. If you could hang on til next year (not going to Japan this year) I could have a look for that one for you and chances are I'd pick it up for at least half the price. All depends how much patience and will-power you have of course!!!

No problem mate! My 'pretty cure' knowledge is limited to the first series so I have no idea who this character is, but if she can 'beat the living carp' out of someone that's a whole different kettle of fish, and you probably should reel her in before she gets away! :)

That'll be me.  Really bad at it.

I must admit i felt bad spending so much on my guitar this year but it is bloody lovely and the sound makes it worth it.

true but the outher figeres which arnt exclusives are only £25 and the figeres them selves arent that tall and there kind of fragily so when its something liuke that I try to save as much money as posibile see this is a figer from the same series http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCummFWR1NI and in my houses things get broken on a regelar bases so anthing over £20 is expensive when its likeley to be broken.

Camera gear, especially any anamorphic lenses. Luckily the scarceness of them has meant that I haven't been able to buy any.

*Sigh* Would love them, but can't really justify spending that much on dice, especially as I have about 200 dice already...
