In the second cabinet along (that's mostly obscured by the actor) there seems to be some sort of transparent armour. What is that? Some kind of stealth suit? The one next to it looks weird too - something going on with the chest plate.

That is Iron Man Mark II, in silver, as test suit in first Iron man with test flight etc...

Ah I can see that now - what I thought was transparency is actually reflection on the glass of the cabinet.

Nice PR on this, it's just started production and they're already  putting it out there. Total confidence in the franchise, formula and character.  Nice one Marvel Studios (would they consider taking on DREDD's PR perhaps)?

Yeah, it inspires confidence alright. I read somewhere that apparently all the major movies that make up the Marvel Studios franchise appear to have met with critical acclaim. When I stopped to think about that, i realised that I'd enjoyed every single one of them.

Could it be that - shocker! - somebody's taking pride in these movies???

They seem to do no wrong in their marketing strategy because their confident they can deliver and have delivered thus why they are more than happy to slide these photos out to mainstream public.

If JW is confident this is the real deal for JD then someone communicate that to IM Global et al and give us a frikkin trailer!

Oh, for fuck's sake. I imagine it could have something to do with the most recent film starring the character having already made $1.3bn in a little over a month.

Also the fact that the Marvel films have each had a dedicated $100-150 million marketing budget, whereas Dredd, as I understand it, has whatever money they've got left out of the $45 million they had for making the entire film.  That might play into the difference in approach in some small way.

Yep! all valid points, its apparent and ovious the diferences in marketing strategy. Dredd however needs to be resourceful due to lack of $$$$'s. The general feedback of fans of our beloved character on other sites is one of when / where the hell is anything relating to this going to appear! In some cases turning into negativity. As for my general movie going friends they are asking me about the film! . . .  and I can't give them any info' on it either. I'm quite happy to keep waiting as long as ... but hope they don't leave it to late so as not to have any impact on selling the film to the masses.

I know its off topic to Iron Man 3 so apologies (it looks great btw).

But it doesent cost much to put some imagery up teaser wise much akin to what was done for the return of the dark judges on here, does it ?

There is sneak photo behind the scene... Could be War Machine?

Looks like cross between Iron Man and Captian Amercia, but if anyone been read Marvel The Siege, it does looks simple as Iron Patriot who was
Norman Osborn
Can't be Norman Osborn in the movie version, since he's tied up with the Spider-Man rights that Sony own.  Could well be some sort of take on Iron Patriot, though.  There have been a bunch of comic storylines where Tony goes after people for misusing his Iron Man tech, so maybe there's going to be some kind of story where the US military reverse-engineers the War Machine suit and starts making their own versions.

That's alot of beige on that suit.  Looks like one of those old IBM computers from back in the 80's colourwise. The tech is lush though.

I'm not a fan of Don Chiedel as War Machine, and I wish the original actor hadn't have refused to play the character again. I think someone like Tyrone Gibson or Jamie Fox would be more suited to the role.

Yeah, but they knew they wouldn't have to spoil the ending of the film
since the trailer does that anyway.
I think at some point they should redesign the armour so it looks more akin to the iron man armour in The Ultimates.
