couldn't see a topic for this already -
I like Hugh Jackman, he reminds me of Clint Eastwood on occasion - though he picks some dodgy films to be in sometimes.
But here he looks like he's leaned down again to look more like the wolverine from the 1st x-men movie as he starts shooting soon for The Wolverine.

I was excited over The Wolverine when reading Aronofsky was at the helm; I figured if anybody could make up for an awful first movie, it would be this guy. But with Mangold now in the director's chair, it could go either way. I'm hoping the studio will have learned its lessons from the first, including not allowing Jackman to have such control in how the film goes etc (I mean, yes he comes across as a nice guy but he has been in mostly bad films and just because he plays the character, I don't think he is just bound to know what's best to do with him).
for me the best jackman has portrayed Wolverine is at the very beginning of x-men 1 where he's cage fighting - Logan should be like an Eastwood type high plains drifter - no direction home - good stranger makes self sacrifice to save people etc I also like the idea of a leaner wilder wolverine who brawls and hunches when he prowls and talks like clint eastwood with a growl.
I'm liking the sound of The Wolverine more and more as news of the plot leaks bit by bit and filming gets underway - the film interests me in that it sounds geeky! and not some studios efforts to commericialise a comic hero.
