Just seeing if anybody on here makes custom badges with whatever your name is. Would like a pic of the badge with my last name on it
Yes, Dredd writer, forumite and all round top bloke Mike Carroll came up with this software - http://www.michaelowencarroll.com/judgebadge.htm (http://www.michaelowencarroll.com/judgebadge.htm). Seven styles of badge available, including Dark Judges. You can't directly save the image, you need to do a screen-shot and then crop it.
If you mean actual physical badges, you want Planet Replicas : http://webshop.planetreplicas.com/epages/es140885.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/es140885/Products/PR_REPLICA_009/SubProducts/PR_REPLICA_009-0002 (http://webshop.planetreplicas.com/epages/es140885.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/es140885/Products/PR_REPLICA_009/SubProducts/PR_REPLICA_009-0002)
Ok thank you ill see if I can do it when I get home on my computer. An actual badge would be cool but for right now just looking to get a picture of the badge with my last name on it.
Planet Replicas does actual badges with names on as well.

Mike's ones are great as well. :-)

OH MY GOD! That's awesome! Gonna start making mock-ups with Mike's site, and buyin' from Planet Replicas!
This is all I've asked my wife to get me for my birthday this year. How awesome will it be to have a personal badge? Really awesome!
Love the online badge creator, what a nifty idea. Much kudos.
Never heard of Planet Replicas before, but they have some really cool looking stuff. Anyone here buy anything from them? If so, what's the quality like?
Many thanks.
It's excellent. From small items such as badges and keyrings, to mid priced items such as Lawgivers and life sized badges, right up to the full uniform, you can't fault the quality. Have a look round the forum to see some of the stuff in action. Head to the events threads for the Judges out on patrol for a start.
Thanks for the feedback. Will do.
Great, now I have something else calling out for my money...
I had a problem trying to capture the image off Badger, in that ALT and PRTSC didn't seem to do anything when I tried pressing them. I'd like to save the image of my badge - anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

What operating system (and version thereof) are you using, FinH?
I love Mike's Badger thang.

Don't bother with the ALT (if you're on Windows at least) I just hit Print Screen.

Um, Windows 7? Is that what you mean? As you may be beginning to gather, I'm not the most technologically-proficient individual in the southern hemisphere...

Um, Windows 7?
That's the one. I think you're doing it right, but you're stopping too soon (as the wife is wont to say).
1. Make sure the active browser window is the one with the Badger image you have made (i.e. click on it to be sure).
2. Press ALT and PRNTSCRN - this copies an image of the active window to the Windows clipboard.
3. Open up the MS Paint programme (or any image editing software), find it through through clicking START, then ALL PROGRAMS, then ACCESSORIES and Paint should be there.
4. Click on a blank canvass in Paint.
5. Press CTRL and V (or go to the menu for
Edit then
Paste...) to paste the captured image into the Paint document, and it should appear.
6. Press CTRL and S (or go to the menu for
File then
Save as...) to save the image.
That should do the trick.

Hm. Well that all seems pretty straightforward except for pressing ALT and PRTSC together still doesn't seem to be copying the screen/doing anything at all. When I go into Paint the paste option is greyed out, which I guess would mean I haven't managed to copy anything. Thanks for trying to help, by the way! :)
Hmmm, that's odd.
Maybe a specific problem with your PRNTSCR key, or the way Windows 7 is mapping your keyboard, if even CTRL-V doesn't paste anything.
Okay, try Windows 7 Snip tool instead, which should have come with your operating system. It's harder to find, because I think it's part of the Tablet PC Options rather than standard
Go to START, then go to the SEARCH box and type "SNIPPING TOOL". It should appear in the results list. Double-click it, and when it runs select the Retangular Snip and drag the rectangle around your badge. This REALLY SHOULD copy it to teh Clipboard, after which CTRL-V should paste it into your drawing.
Woohoo! That seems to have done the job. Cheers! :D

Hurrah! The offspring of Mike Carroll's genius shouldn't be thwarted by mere technology.
