Title: Minty metal figure
Post by: Steve Green on 25 October, 2012, 10:52:22 AM
Here's a preview sculpt of a certain character - it's not one of the Mongoose range but is done with their and Rebellion's approval.

Proceeds are raising money for Cancer and MS charities, the proper launch is next week but they've just set up the fb page here.

It's a cracking figure, and a good likeness. (but I still want to know where Minty got a mk2 Lawgiver from)

That's amazing, Steve.  What size is it (he asked, innocently)?

Hi,

They've said roughly 3cm - not sure if it's slightly bigger than the mongoose figures.

Cheers

Steve

Sounds close enough.  Always was a big lad.  I may have to look into feeding my reawoken minis hunger helping this worthy charity.

Yeah, I never got into the whole miniatures thing, but it's been great to see the Mongoose kickstarter campaign and this coming together.

An absolutely stunning item, which I can see all the crew buying for their memories. It really is rather touching :'(

Dinorwig Slate Quarry in Wales needs a full size one, up in the hills.

This looks amazing.

Yeah, i may have to have one of them- and after seeing it i followed the link in the new thrill-mail to the miniatures game/kickstarter thing and found myself wondering what it's all about. Im honestly perplexed, but at the same time find myself wanting them all. But of all of them, it's a little edmund dehn i want the most.

Donations now being taken.

Go here.....

Cancer Research

MS Society

Facebook page

https://www.facebook.com/The4thSemiAnnualFrothersCharityThingy

Instructions.....

Here's how you get your copy(s) of Judge Minty:

Make a donation to one (or both) of the dedicated Just Giving Pages:

http://www.justgiving.com/CharityMinty1

https://www.justgiving.com/CharityMinty2

Then, and this is important because it has changed from previous years, send an e-mail to charitymini AT gmail DOT com

Please include:
Your Name.
Your Address.
Your Just Giving receipt reference number
How many you would like
and whether you would prefer the metal version or the Trollcast version

For those not in the know, 'Trollcast' is a revolutionary plastic/resin hybrid.

How Much Do They Cost? The size of donation is entirely up to you, however, I'd suggest if you want multiple copies that £15 per mini would be about right.

When will you get them? Hoping to have them cast and dispatched by late February next year.

Fantastic. It really is a superb sculpt - much better then the old 40k models I used to collect.

Donation given.

I woke up gently, reached over to my phone, saw that the donations were being taken and then Dredd item mode kicked in! That was the end of my long lie-in :'(

Have you seen the latest news. Donate at least £35 and you'll get the Judge Minty sign. No not the one in my cellar, they're making a miniature of that as well.
Don't worry if you donated slightly less, you can top up. How cool is that

Don't forget to tick the GIFT AID.

They're making a miniature version of the cellar?

Won't this break the laws of physics if you have to have a miniature version of the cellar in the cellar?
