Hi all. I used to read 2000AD a very long time ago, starting when I was in primary school in the early 80's. For some reason I stopped when I got into my late teens (I've forgotten why) but a few weeks ago I picked up a copy from my local store and I'm hooked again! Can't for the life of me understand why I stopped reading in the first place. Anyway, just thought I'd log in and say hi.

probably because there were some poor stories and lots of muddy painted (
we all want to be Bisley) artwork in the 90s. Lots of readers left, but since, well 2000 ad, the prog's been going from strength to strength, and they're all coming back - welcome to the nicest forum in geekdom

You probably discovered the fibromuscular tube leading from the opening of the vulva to the uterus. It has been the undoing of many a promising 2000ad reader.
Welcome to the forum- you just missed some good arcs that were going on throughout 2012. They will be collected soon, so be sure to pick them up.
Welcome back aboard. Boy oh boy is there fun to be had catching up. Feel free to pester us with questions and...
Have fun now ya hear.
Welcome back into the fold!

Pete I returned to the fold in similiar circumstances about one year ago. 2000AD has never been better and if you have a few quid in these dire economic days there is a treasure trove of trades available at often very good prices out there. This place also offers great advice on what to pick up. I have had a ball based on what these good people have told me.
Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone. I'm not up on anything that happened in 2012. I did recently pick up Judge Dredd Origins and I've been re-reading some old stuff like Nemesis The Warlock that I got from my local comic store the other day. Looking forward to seeing what great things 2000AD has in store for 2013.
Welcome back!
The last twelve years - for the most part - have been brilliant. You've got a lot of catching up to do!
