Title: Date for you diary
Post by: Quirkafleeg on 15 January, 2003, 10:02:13 PM
21 June... Lastest Harry Potter finally published. And it's a third bigger than last time (which was a whopper in itself).

At this rate the series won't finish until 2050 and the final book will be ten volumes in size

He, he, there is much humour in that truth Gary, especially the look on their faces when they realise the release of the book has been put back a month for maximum publicity.

The whole Harry Potter thing has just passed by by.. I really can't get excited about it at all.

I tryed reading the first book but just got very bored and the films hold no interest for me either, I mean if I want to see a movie about a wizard I have the fantastic Lord of the Rings, anything else just don't make the grade.

well it kick started my kids actually wanting to read books rather than years of me thrusting them under their noses saying 'go-on go-on go-on books are great'.... so thats a really good thing, theyve now progressed to other authurs, but JK deserves a prize for that. mebbe it was media hype but in this ritlin fueled dumbed down age anything that gives em an attention span is good by me.
