Title: SELLING ON E BAY
Post by: The Doctor Alt 8 on 12 March, 2013, 09:51:59 PM
A friend of mine needs to raise funds & is thinking of setting up an E bay account to sell some stuff. Do you guys have any advice? Thanks...

I have a friend who uses ebay to make a living from his hobby.

Jesus, I sound like a spam bot, don't I?

His racket is guitars, he buys broken/knackered old ones (or even just bits of them) on the cheap, fixes them up, and then sells them at a profit. He then expanded into customising. I believe the basic principles can be applied elsewhere though. Buy broken stuff, fix it up, then sell it on.

Final value fee of 10% and a Paypal fee of 4% as well as listing charges means a good mark up is needed before you see dollar one!

Don't forget to inform the tax man, don't want to take away money that could be given to people who need benefits to survive in this cruel country!
