Title: Hello from 1984
Post by: steveh on 09 April, 2013, 05:08:55 PM
Hi my name is Steve Hatton and back in 1984 I became fascinated by the artwork being produced in 2000AD. I contacted the then Art Editor Robin Smith and he was kind enough to furnish me with the details for producing artwork. He suggested that I sent in some examples of my artwork to my surprise and this led to him allowing me to produce two Futureshocks, THE SUM OF THE PARTS and CRUISE written by Alan Hebden. I never pursued a career in art after this, being a Design Engineer with a young family but I will always be grateful to Robin for allowing me to participate in some small part. Heavily influenced by those days, over the years I developed an idea of my own and toyed with the idea of producing a Graphic Novel. Unfortunately I considered it to be too work intensive and instead decided to write it as an adventure thriller instead. I recently published it on Amazon and Kindle and it is called FROSTBITE. I hope that it could appeal to devotees of 2000AD.
