Hi I'm Steve Hatton and I was fortunate to produce artwork for 2000AD futureshocks called CRUISE and THE SUM OF THE PARTS back in 1984. I have a book published on Amazon and Kindle called FROSTBITE which is in the same vein as the stories that you are used to. Set in a future cataclysmic ice age, it is an all action roller coaster adventure using jump-jet jet sleds. I hope that it will appeal to devotees of 2000AD.
