"I'm very fond of a lot of the short Dredd stories, one-offs and two-parters and I hope to present my favorites in a forthcoming IDW collection"Interesting; I wonder what they'll be?
Wagner mentions the
Buggo (http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/scale_small/8/85763/2224596-buggo.jpg) episode from
The Judge Child as one he was especially proud of in
Logan's Class of '79 (http://www.2000ad.nu/classof79/jw_interview.htm) interview, alongside
"America, It Pays to be Mental, A Death in the Family, Letter from a Democrat, Phantom of the Shoppera, Bury My Knee at Wounded Heart, and The Midnight Surfer"; so I suppose the shorter ones there will be good for a punt. He's also spoken of marveling at the artistry of Mick McMahon's
Umpty Candy (http://www.bleedingcool.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/d2.gif), and there's got to be something by Carlos Ezquerra and
In The Bath in there too.
So, is anyone gonna get the red-label ($125) or blue-label ($495) editions?
Think I'll give them a miss!

Isn't Burdis passing up the opportunity to buy Dredd merchandise one of the signs prefiguring the apocalypse?

Think someone on here has pre-ordered the red-label?
But they are incredible looking, arent they - the more i see them, the more i would like a copy. Is it 25 copies worldwide for the blue, and 125 for the red?
And if those prices arent enough, youve got to factor in postage, and then custom charges (if ordering from overseas).
Very expensive all told. Wonder how many copies will pop up over here, for sale?
Ohhhhh, that blue 'un looks lovely. I might sell a kidney...

Your own or someone else's :)
You offering Tombo?
And reading Sauchies post, about a forthcoming John Wagner collection, it makes me wonder how many of these we'll see? Not that im complaining, like.
A McMahon collection has to happen, hasnt it?
Sorry Pete, I traded mine for tickets to see Alice Cooper in concert a few years ago.
If I was loaded would love one, as I'm skint have to give it a miss :(
Bought the red and Blue Carlos books and the red Bolland one.
$90 postage and then any tax hit when they get here.
They are $60 postage if bought individually.
On the plus side i got the red label Carlos number one and blue label number 2.
Slightly confused cos the complete Carlos collections looks like its missing the Apocalypse War surely Carlos' finest hour.
This is book 1 - there are more to follow. A lot more.
I see some of the original art that comes with the (very limited - only 25 worldwide) 'blue label' copy of the Carlos Ezquerra collection, have popped up on IDW's FB page.

Me want!

Yes, but out of order. Why?
You know, what with pricing in South Australian comics stores being twice the US cover despite the AUD being at parity or higher than the greenback since 2010, making the regular editions AUD $98 each, those Red Labels don't look so bad...

Is that why everyone in Oz reads those domestically produced
Phantom comics?
Pretty much. Unlike UK titles like Viz, Bob The Builder & the prog, most US comics are either Direct Market only or just plain too expensive for the newsagents.
But hey, don't knock The Phantom. For those who came in late, none other than Alfred Bester ghost wrote the Ghost Who Walks whilst Lee falks was off fighting single handedly the Second World War.*
*Actually Falk was serving in the radio foreign language division of the Office of War Information. But that's the same thing, isn't it?
I ordered the red-label. Will post some pics when it arrives.

Received my IDW Blue label book today. This one is my Carlos sketch.
Thats a lovely sketch. Congrats on snagging that one, Gronk.
And is yours numbered 1 out of 25??
Looks like it,
Yes, was lucky to get number 1.
