Hi,
I'm a bit of an IT 'haddie' and for some reason cannot get the Insert Quote to work..
What do I need to do ??
Do I highlight the section I want to re-quote ? ...How do I move it to my new post ?...
I've tried loads of different ways to do this and still can't get it....It's driving me crazy !!....
Please help...BUT.. please explain in the style of a response to a 'not very bright child'...
Thanks..

From the post you wish to quote from, click the Quote button found to the top-right of the row. You can then edit the quote should you wish, or add your message around it.

Hiya,
Boab. I don't think you mean a quote like I've just done ^, but how to insert a quote into a reply you've already started. That particular function's been broken for a while now, as is the ability to see the post of someone who's made a new post on a thread while you've been typing your own reply. Sorry.

Oops...
Thanks Sauchie and Banners...
Yep I do mean....how do you do what you've just done there...^
ie Take the quote and add it to the top of the reply you are sending ??
Still baffled !!

Ah! See the post you're reading - top right like
Banners says, there's a quote button. Just click on that!
Shit !!
That was easy !!...
You have no f*****g idea how long I've spent trying to do that...
I've been highlighting things, pressing insert quote, trying to move it to my reply etc...
FFS...what a twat !!
Cheers.
Once your reply box is open, you used to be able to select multiple quotes by clicking 'insert quote' on any of the posts below, but some interweb glitch means that no longer seems to work - you can only create one tagged quote from the original post (unless you repeat the process in another tab and copy'n'paste the whole link with brackets etc from that).
If you just want to put some random copied text, from another website for example, into a grey quote box without the "quote from.." stuff, just click the little speech bubble icon above an open reply and paste the text between the brackets.
Thanks guys,
It is much appreciated...
I really hate being an IT 'haddie' or 'luddite' as I've been called several times ..... :-[
Cheers and Thanks..
