Just need a bit of advice. I have a Virgin Media Super Hub and 30Mb internet via cable. Currently my computer and Dad's humax TV recorder are connected to the hub via Ethernet cables whilst the other two computers in the house use Wi-Fi dongles.
My question is - would connecting the two other computers to the Hub via Ethernet cables slow my connection down any? The hub has four ports in total.
No, wireless drains more than a cable. So chances are you won't notice any issues.
Depends what they're doing with it. Browsing and email: no, you won't notice. If you're all trying to stream video or downloading large files then there's going to be issues.
Having said that, if they already connect wirelessly and you're not having trouble, go for it.
Thanks guys, quick response times to. Guess I'll have a mooch around e-bay for some cables then.
