But importantly for this board: 2000 Ad: Back to the Future: A Generation of Comic Genius
The first issue of 2000 AD hit the newsstands in 1977. Since then it has become a cornerstone of the comic world and everybody who is anybody has worked on characters such as Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, Slaine and Tharg. Join our panel including comics writer Dan Abnett and comics artist Warren Pleece to hear about how this great sci-fi comic has evolved.

I have noticed in the programme they claim The Phoenix is the Uk's only weekly comic!! a-hem!

I shall wave our lonely banner!
The good news is that queue for getting things signed won't be chocka with boarders and I'll get served quicker in The Oxford :D
Well that went well enough, the Bish-op droid had obviously asked his students to supply questions as they were of superior quality ;) and all the droids on stage gamely played along...and we heard the phrase 'every Prog has its dog'
Dode and I were lucky enough to join Happy Shrapnel and Dan Abnett (what is his droid number?) himself for a pint afterwards. And now we know who they are in league with, at least!
Dode C and I then had to press our noses against the glass of the free drinkies enclosure and like street urchins watch the great and the good of comics guzzle the sausage rolls and kaps... but I'm not bitter nosireee!
and I get a wee Dredd sketch from that nice Jim Murray - whose artwork on Drukittoon is stunning, but his Dredd eagle has more than the hint of chicken about it

just in case you missed it :D
