Exciting news, readers!
The Galactic Crime Commission is an organisation committed to bringing justice to the furthest fringes of the known galaxy. With a highly trained and motivated workforce, the GCC is the premier agency for frontier justice in this most competitive of markets. Known informally as Strontium Dogs, GCC agents are almost exclusively made up of mutant humans from the planet Earth. This hardy breed are uniquely suited to this high stakes and challenging career. You can keep up with the latest from the GCC in the pages of Dogbreath.

Dogbreath was first published back in the late 20th Century by original editor Dr Bob. Dr Bob single handedly produced 14 issues of Dogbreath before deciding in 2007 or thereabouts to stand down. Since then Dogbreath has been published by Bolt-01 and my good compadre Richmond Clements (Though a simulated version of Dr Bob was good enough to stay on to introduce each issue)

The first 10 issues of Dogbreath are available to download (free and gratis) here. (http://thequaequamblog.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/dogbreath-volume-01-archive.html)

The first issue of Dogbreath from FQP was issue 15 and we determined to bring you the best fanzine possible. We have just launched issue 27 and our contributors read like a list of the finest creators you will 'ever' see including: Boo Cook, Nigel Dobbyn, Monty Nero, Graeme Neil Reid, Jim Campbell, Simon Coleby, Steve Roberts and those are just the one's I think of as I'm typing.

Why am I telling you this? Simple really- we need scripts. Stories, strips, features we need them all. Dogbreath is THE longest running fanzine for 2000 AD. Zarjaz doesn't come close and the rest don't even get a mention.
The situation at the moment is that unless we get more content Dogbreath 28 will be the last one. How's that for exciting?
Email strontiumdogbreath@gmail.com if you want to communicate confidentially.
I'll make the time to do something for you. I owe you a strip as it is!
Cheers
Jim
I've had an idea I've been meaning to do for several years now - this is just the impetus I need to actually write it down and submit it!
I'd LOVE to contribute - which is saying a lot, as I recently swore off fanzine work. Knowing the people behind Dogbreath and the high standard of the material is what sways it.
Sadly, I just don't think I'm sufficiently familiar and engaged with the subject matter to do anything justice.
REALLY hope 28 isn't the end - the comics community needs high quality fanzines.
Best of luck, everyone!
Hi Bolt,
Count me in for drawing another 'Alpha' story as soon as you get a script and I'll make sure its ready for the next issue....In fact keep em' coming!

I can't write for owt but I'd happily draw anything you wanted - !
I had this idea for a story.... I suspect it'll end up being rubbish, but I'll give it a go. When I find a moment.
Well def come up with something. Spoke to Stu.Art about the existing one he's drawing as well last night so hopefully you'll have that soon
Will also do my little bit to spread the word
Very exciting news indeed! Sadly I wasn't aware of Dogbreath until now! I'm looking forward to downloading and reading those early issues!
About submitting scripts/stories, if I was to send in something, is there a particular way you'd like to see it written?
I've never written a comic strip before and assume that - like film scripts - there is a particular format. Is there a resource or example of how I could go about this?
Thanks!

You'll find a few sample scripts here: http://www.futurequake.co.uk/submissions.php
Thanks Richard!
Who?
Maybe before I start writing I need learn to read! :-[
Thanks Richmond, much appreciated!
Could this crisis lead to a classic 2000ad style merger ala StarLord?
Zarjaz featuring DogBreath?
I am completely at your disposal with my meagre are skills in a non-reliable way as always.
Dunk!

Like the sound of that. Bigger and better!
Is it just scripts you want, or prose?
I have a 'Tales from the Doghouse' type narrative that I've been tinkering with for a couple of years that could work as a space filling in measure if you wanted...
Thanks for all the responses both here and on the email.
Fingers crossed we will be generating enough new content to keep the next issues as Thrill-powered as the rest.
Just a thought, O Venerable Bolt, but are we necessarily looking at The End for Dogbreath if material is slow to materialise?
My point is, would a short publishing hiatus be an option? Maybe just for long enough to let creative types get their stuff together for new submissions?
Hmm this is tempting, thought up an idea for a future shock the other day... As Dogbreath is completely new to me however, is there a particular subject matter/continuity that has to be stuck to? or is it just general sci-fi?
