There are two small, circular grey dots on the screen of my laptop. They're not dead pixels (They're bigger, and sort of transparent) and I know it's not a huge thing but they're annoying. Moisture behind the screen maybe? In which case maybe they'll evaporate of their own accord?
Again, nothing major, but if anyone knows what I can do about them I'd appreciate some advice.
Push a sharpened pencil carefully into a shucked babybel. Gently polish the screen with it in a circular motion, working your way from the centre to the corners of the screen. If there are any remaining blemishes, dab them with a little Saint Agur on an ear bud.
Thanks for the advice, Minkyboy, much appreciated, but what i forgot to say was that the spot is on the inside, i.e. behind the glass (or whatever transparent material it is).
Werewolf.
(Now that's out of the way, you might get a real answer..!)
I'll put spots on YOUR screen now in a minute
You *have* taken the plastic screen protector off, haven't you? ;)
Or, to put it another way: dunno. Bump.
You're sure they are on your screen, Jayzus? If they're still there when you look up from the laptop and out of the window it could be the start of wet macular degeneration or the onset of stroke. Only kidding, I haven't a clue - sorry.
you spill/splash anything onto the screen...cola possibly?
The only thing that comes to mind is that the screen has been knocked and those two grey spots are where the pixels have been pushed back into the panel causing them to blur. If you look at the laptop from the side can you see if the grey areas are pushed in slightly? Fixing it might be tricky. They may pop back out, or you could try to unpop them yourself, but you might end up causing more damage...
Other than that, fella, I am totally stumped...
It's the Grey Men, here to suck the colour from your life. Run. Run for your Momo!
No worries - might take it into the computer people tomorrow.
What were you watching on the internet when you noticed the.... blemish on your screen.
