Title: Trying To Track Down A Comic
Post by: JudgeE1M1RT on 05 September, 2013, 06:11:39 PM
Hello, I'm currently trying to track down a comic I read around the time I first got into 2000AD. It was released (or re-printed) around 2007 and the subject was zombies. It was set in Britain and one of the issues involved a newsroom full of people discussing the outbreak being attacked, fire fighters talking about their friend who unbeknownst to them hanged himself outside, and scavengers raiding a Tescos I believe. I've searched all over google trying to find it but the majority of the comics the comics that come up are The Walking Dead and the rest are only similar in the featuring of zombies.

Any help would be appreciated, it was a good comic and one that eventually got me into buying other comics, including 2000AD, and I would like to get my hands on a copy of it again.   :)

I'll name that comic in one.

That'll be 'The Dead: Kingdom of the Flies' written by Alan Grant, pencils Simon Bisely, covers Glenn Fabry.

I downloaded a preview a long time ago and then years later bought the comic at a comic con. It is very good stuff.

I think some of the links in the above are dead – no pun intended.

Or perhaps our very own Chaingunchimp will be along to point you in the right direction.

Oh i thought it sounded familiar when you were describing it! Bought that on a whim, mainly because its zombies (which i cant get enough off) but also because of the 3 names at the top of the comic!
I remember enjoying it but never saw issue 2 at my local Travelling Man. Going to have to Google this and see what happened to it.
Hope you find it chief! Id send you mine but I have no idea what happened to it :(

I bought it for almost the exact same reasons (I didn't know who the people were at that point). I'm glad I did though, because I probably wouldn't ever have bought any other comics if it weren't for it. At the time I was close minded and thought most comics were for little kids. I was wrong.

Strangely enough, I never seen another issue anywhere after I bought the first one too.
