Depends who's doing the collecting, presumably?

Cheers

Numbercrubcher got trimmed to us size. I'm guessing ordinary will be the same.

Which is a shame really. It's like trimming a widescreen film to fit a full screen view, you lose some of the detail as the director/ creator intended. If I had it my way I'd publish them the size they are, even in the U.S. I have a few U.S versions of some 2000ad publications like Leviathan, and it's still retained its original size.

I've read on comic book resources just other week that retailers are still afraid of black and white (even after Walking Dead) and anything that isn't US standard size.

A few US creators have tried using 'Golden Age' sized comics (the same size as the Megazine Floppy and Rebellion Trades) King City and Cowboy Ninja Viking being the main examples. Which would be exactly the right size for a reprint of the Megazine material. BUT NO BODY EVEN TRIES!

I'm afraid the entire system is industrialised to scale for american sized comics and little else. Long boxes, packaging crates, mylar bags, backing boards, shelves in stores - everything.

Sure it'd be nice if they could reorganise every thing that they do so, say, numbercruncher, could keep a little bit of it's edging, but, honestly, as long as the trim is done sympathetically, I'm not overly bothered (and it has be - Titan have been brilliant on the production side)

(As a side note: the first page of numbercruncher actually exists at a size drawn for US comics, I was trying - at that point - to do it in such a way it could be trimmed for US and Meg size in a way where nothing would be lost. But it was a pain in the ass, so I ended up drawing for the meg size...)
