Title: Thinking of selling the ranch...
Post by: betel_uk on 20 September, 2013, 11:37:23 AM
Hey guys... plenty of you will know me from around these parts... I've been selling back copies and stuff for the past couple of years. Hopefully a few of you are happy customers!  :D

Anyway, it's only ever been a bit of a hobby (in fact it started by accident when I was clearing my own collection from my mum's place when she took ill) and I've enjoyed it plenty, made a few quality acquaintances and rekindled my childhood love of 2000AD along the way. I'm a subscriber again!

But there's no denying it takes up plenty of time and a LOT of space... I have to rent storage these days and my wife can't help but notice that the loft, the dining room, most of the cupboards round the house and often the kitchen table are given over to piles of comics...  :-[

Had a few big life events this Summer that caused me to take stock a little and I'm *thinking* (thinking only mind!) of giving it all up and freeing up some time (and space!) for other stuff. At the moment I'm still ticking over and listing on eBay to cover my monthly storage costs but I've pretty much stopped buying.

So... the point of this post is two fold...

If you're after a big stack of back progs, now would be a good time to get in touch because boxes leaving the house send all the right messages to my long suffering wife! I'll cut you a deal.

and

If you're a dealer and might be interested in buying the lot, drop me a line. I don't have a complete stock list or anything and I'm only really interested in shifting everything in one go if I'm letting them go at dealer prices - the idea being to ditch the monthly storage bills asap. But there is scope for someone to bag themselves a LOT of thrill power stock if they want it.

Anyway, thanks for reading...

If you do make a decision to sell I'd definitely be interested in looking what you have to offer. I'm only approx. 450 short of a full 2000 AD set but some way short of a full Meg collection. I'd rather you had a big lottery win though so paying for/finding storage was no longer an issue  ;)

I'm looking for a collection of Lawman of the Future and the last three or four copies of Crisis.

So it turns out this month is the lucky winner of 2 storage bills (damn 4 week storage billing cycle!  >:()

Time for a bump on this thread I guess... still thinking of selling everything if anyone is interested... but happy to deplete what I have for anybody out there looking for back issues. Got a few orders "in progress" with people too...
