Right then. After Tharg's hint this week, this fish is increasingly anxious to see Brian Bolland back drawing for 2K, even if it's just a one-off or a cover.
I know it's been well-publicised that he left to broaden his horizons, but I reckon it's time now for a triumphant return.
Anyone who's seen his work over the last few years, especially the covers for The Invisibles, The Flash and a host of other comics, simply can't deny the great man has gone from strength to strength.
IMO his work is one of the most distinctive, constantly fresh and very striking styles ever to come out of the UK. Just seeing a Bolland cover sends shivers of pleasure down my hideous fins.
So, in the hope that he might see it and our support may help swing things a little, I call upon all boarders in favour to sign up to this petition:
"We, the undersigned, think 2000AD deserves an artist of the quality of Brian Bolland and we plead with him to return to the fold, at least temporarily.
"The staff of Rebellion must do everything in their power, physically, financially and - yes indeed - even sexually to persuade Mr Bolland to give us a return visit!"
Sign up everybody!

I haven't had this weeks Prog yet, but was just wondering yesterday, what Mr. Bolland was currently up to.
Would you rather see him workingon 2000ad, or the Meg????
I wouldn't mind seeing him draw a mini-epic in the Meg.
Please Thargie
Me too! Tharg hinted it would maybe be more than a cover I thought...
Brian Bolland for the prog!

Oh yes. Come back Mr. Bolland and give us some legendry thrill power.
Hmmm... I always though that covers, yeah they are nice, but a strip- Ooohhh... Then again I wouldn't kick a Bolland Dredd cover off me wall.
Pretty controversial this but I always reckoned the Bolland image was what made dredd an icon in the same league as dan dare.
By the way, sincere apologies for the minor spoiler about Tharg's hint.
It was just one sentence on the letters page, so I hope it's not been too naughty of me.
I'd be surprised if Bolland would commit to a lengthy strip of any description, although I'd love to see it.
My ideal situation would be something of the length of the original Judge Death tale, perhaps just a few episodes long.
I'd also like it to be 2000AD itself - call me sentimental - although I'd be very happy to see his work in the Meg.
Bring back Bolland!
More support, please...

Being new to 2000AD but a fan of Bolland for years I have to admit I didn't even know about the AD connection. He gets my vote. His Flash was excellent.
This mask raises a replica fin to that.
And given what the man himself has said in the past about what would bring him back to Dredd, can we also demand a return for the Fatties?
"Bolland does fatties" is a scenario that *demands* to be fulfilled!
In last months relaunch issue of the megazine(201), there was a promo leaflet featuring the Harrop & Buckley statues-buy two ,get the third one free.
Ive lost the bloody leaflet!!!!Can anyone tell me how to place an order?Website ,phone numder, etc.??
Any help greatly appreciated.
A huge fat vote from me too. It was seeing Brian Bolland's stuff that started me drawing in the first place. Although I have to admit that I fell into the 'Bolland Trap' for many years (which I've now managed to shake) pretty much the same as how many artists in the early 90s fell into the 'Bisley Trap'.
I've been sticking my head into the Bolland website for ages, and it's probably the best retrospective site, IMHO, of a classic comic artist that I've come across. His tutorials are a brilliant addition, and the self humbling of his abilities, in my mind, makes him even more worthy of our esteem.
Thats a lovely petite chin.

Yes Brian - take me back to being a 16 year old again
You know you want it.
Ooohh, yes please.
Pretty please!
Ed
Yup, count me, I'd love to see Bolland do Dredd again.
Not to sure about a Bolland mega epic though. Nice as the idea sounds, he's not exactly the fastest art droid on the block, and we'd probably all be senile and drooling in our wheelchairs by the time he finished it.
A 4-6 episode story sounds just about right.

If you want to see what Brian Has done for 2000 then go to his profile.
So many great Dredd covers Prog 131 & 182 especially, to hard to choose, so gone for a non Dredd cover for the pic.

Bolland Dredd YES!!
I agree Bolland is a fine artist and a lovely man, bring back Bolland!
JK.
I would have thought at most he might do a one-part Dredd, but I can't see him doing more than that for 2000 AD. More likely that he'll do a cover or two.
Bring
