Title: Nikolai Dante graphic novels
Post by: Kate_Halprin on 29 January, 2003, 04:02:04 AM
I've heard rumours that Rebellion have plans to reprint the whole of Nikolai Dante as a series of hardcover graphic novels. Does anyone know if/when this is going to happen?

As soon as they want more of my money...

C'mon Rebellion!

Simon Fraser announced it on his site and claimed it'd take several books just to get to thre present storyline. As it stands I'd figure it all depends on Rebellion.

Is there a link to Simon Fraser's site?

If all the volumes were roughly the same length as 'The Romanov Dynasty' I guess it would take five or six books to get to where we are now - but it beats hunting for back issues!

You can get the link to the web-site from either or both the Dante profile or Simons.

And on the web-site it says 12 volumes gets us up to now. One every six months.

My money is waiting for them.

Twelve volumes over six months seems a bit excessive - presumably it would take over a year to get through the stories that have already been reprinted in The Romanov Dynasty! And it assumes a lot of patience on our part.

I don't know, I think maybe paperbacks roughly the size of The Romanov Dynasty every six months would be a better bet, maybe kicking off with a reprint of the first volume plus a second covering 1998's stories?

I'd agree with that. I mean even my simple arithmatic makes it 6 years to complete the lot at that rate. And that doesnt count any new Dante's from here-on.

I'm not convinced these Hardback GN's are VFM tbh.
I mean its nice to have them with the hard cover 'n all, but what is it ? 44 pages for ?9.99 or somesuch. I'd rather having a softback with a higher page count any day of the week.

Hope this is fact and not just rumour. And while your at it Rebellion, how about doing the same for Slaine?

I'd rather have a few huge softback collections, but there you go. Six years to get them all is just bloody annoyying (like the slow release of certain series on DVD...)
