So, any midlands-based boarders thinking of going to this next weekend? It's a bit unfortunate that its on the same weekend as ThoughtBubble.
Was thinking about going to this one myself but they have taken so long to actually tell folks what guests they have that I have now made other plans.
Guest List is out now though - nothing too amazing but there are a few of the Red Dwarf cast and one or two others of interest:

I'm hoping to get there for Sunday, but am still looking at transport too and from. Does anyone know how far it is from Birmingham New Street station?
You'll have to take a train from Birmingham New Street to Birmingham International (about 10mins) and then transverse the NEC.
Yup, the NEC is on the outskirts of Birmingham. New Street is in the center of Brum, International is the station at the NEC - they are about 10 mins apart on the train, so not too far but you certainly wouldn't walk it!
If you are coming by train though you should check as you might be able to get one train all the way to the International station.
Just letting you know, there will be lots of Judges at the con, with a large display including a Lawmaster, original uniform from the film and some other extras to spice up what will be on show and available for a wee bit of interaction ;)
Thanks for the response re trains guys. Looking at the stupid travel times and prices I've decided to drive instead, so....
Where can I park? :D
Also:
I'm just packing now and ref parking, seeing as I'm staying at the Premier Inn, I shall be parking there, so I'm no help ;)
Shaolin- the NEC does have pretty sizeable carparks, but you may well be paying a fair bit for the pleasure. Havbe a great weekend there chaps- those of us at Thought Bubble wish you well.
Hi Shaolin, as bolt says the NEC has plenty of parking, but last time I was there it was £10 for the day :o Hoping to be there sunday myself with my mate and his kids, looking forward to seeing all the judges.
Stew.
Yeah, not surprisingly there is plenty of parking at the NEC. Best bet would be to have a look on the website where they have a map of the place. I think the con is in hall 9.
so which judges are going to be at which con on which days? I'm going to TB with a friend for Saturday only an I've promised her judges!
The majority will be at Brum but a few are going to be at Thought Bubble, probably 2012 versions but won't know until we all meet up in the hotel bar later.
Anyone going look out for the Rs prop guys, they have a display of there Star Wars costumes, they make some amazing Stormtrooper armour, taken from a mould of the original armour from a new hope...I'm getting a full snowtrooper costume from them.....
Met a few of the Judges in the bar at the Premier Inn last night and talked about what is to come over the weekend. The display with the Lawmaster centrepiece looks stunning, from their descriptions.
Should be fun, especially as I have seen some names on the celebs list that I hope to arrest.
Look forward to seeing some photos. ..
Another awesome con day for the Judges. Lots of interaction with everyone and a decent Judge presence. I managed a few pics with the celebs and managed to recruit a new Judge, you may recognise him when I eventually post the pic.
Another day beckons soon, so it'll be Sunday evening before I post them on here, so stay tuned ;)

:D
Gutted I couldn't get there this weekend (& me being a local boy too).
Has anyone any idea of future dates?
I've been chatting to my local friendly cinema manager about organising a charity Dredd 3D screening in Birmingham & I'd like to tie the date in with a future Memorabilia/Comic Con show in Birmingham.
I've looked on the Memorabilia site & there's no info about other shows as yet.
Plus I'd like to get some Judges involved so any volunteers for appearances on the night would be greatly appreciated as would any help in organising the evening & spreading the word about the night.
No idea about MCM but there is another BICS-replacement scheduled for August-ish next year.
Love the Hondo Judge but from what I can see there were two different Movie Style Brit Cit Judges doing the rounds - one at Memo and One at TB.
Anyone got any good photos of those fine chaps?
I think some costumers did both events.
The Hondo Judge did Thought Bubble on Saturday and Birmingham on Sunday. The three 2012 Judges that attended Thought Bubble on Sunday, I think they were at Birmingham on Saturday.
Spreading themselves around and making their presence felt. ;)

There's a half decent photo of the Brit-cit judge on the previous page in a group shot, think there are some shots of the guy from TB on the 2000AD fb page.
As to the different versions, at least 2 groups have people had the same idea but came up with similar but different designs - so they've called themselves Sector 1, Sector 2 etc. like they're different forces within Brit-cit.
Wow! Just freakin' WOW! Y'all look like you're having so much fun! Way to go! Wish I had the time to get into Cosplay. I'd make a pretty good Tek, I think. Well done! Keep those H-wagons flying! :)
My first con at MEM, travelled all the way down from Shetland, specially for it.
Once I had the 2012 rig sorted, on Saturday, - my first time in the full kit as I didn't have the chance for a dress rehearsal - thanks to Judge Fields, it was a blast. The response from the public was incredible, and the guys were a great laugh - particularly Judge Wildman, who looked every inch The Man, in his Dredd gear.
The Sunday, I was able to throw the rig on and be ready in seconds - cannot stress enough his important it is to set up properly, with the right people beforehand. My highlight was patrolling with Judge Pal, our very own Shaolin Monkey. Once again, the response from the public was fantastic, as was having the chance to chat - albeit briefly - with Mike Van Kesteren, who has helped make my dream of a Brit-Cit Lawgiver progress towards reality (more about that elsewhere).
I loved every second, thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone - the Hondo-Cit Judge was a standout (especially as he was using my Tendo stave ;) ) - and have already booked for London, July 2014.
Hope to see as many of you there, as possible, along with my own cadet.
