Good little comic it is too. Got a copy last week after seeing it on DTT and for a pound you get some quality comics. Nice to see a couple of familiar strips from FQP past as well.
Cheers, Dave.

Looks nice, love a bit of Thomson :D
I'll point some people your way - !
cheers, Owen
Love the Cover more covers need guineapigs
Thanks, Graham. I agree there aren't enough rodents in comics, especially destructive Godzilla sized ones.
Change of email address. Can you send all submissions to:

If anyone with drawing skills wants to team up and create a submission for this swanky looking anthology, I has scripts.
Ghastly McNasty I have drawing skills. If the script is right, would be interested in providing artwork. I don't know whether it is appropriate to link to my devart page here.
Sweeeeeet. I'll fire you over a PM.
Well, I'm always entertained by 'Ghastly' Tim's stories, and judging by Pictsys Deviant Art page that's one damned fine artist right there. So we should be in for an interesting submission, which myself and John look forward to reading.
We've had a few good submissions so far, and since Biodegradable is bi-monthly there's always room for more. Keep 'em coming, folks! - Dave Hailwood (editor of 100% Biodegradable).

Thanks :D
It hasn't been mentioned but do the submissions need to be in black and white or is colour an option?
Cheers Dave, very kind of you to say so.
Pictsy, apologies for not getting my ass in gear. Will email you later this evening. 100% Biodegradable has both colour and black and white strips. I guess the choice is yours.

No worries, look forward to reading your scripts.
Thanks for answering my question as well. :D
Another question about the comic. What is the page ratio?
all pages need to be in this format...

Cool, thanks for that :D
Got a couple of cracking scripts from Ghastly McNasty, so we should have something to submit beginning of next year, hopefully :D
I've sent something your way John, hope you enjoy :)
Hi there,
just to clarify a few things, we are interested in both colour and black and white strips though colour is always preferable (we're hoping to put at least one colour strip in each issue).
We'd prefer finished strips as it's less time consuming than trying to match up writers with artists; that being said, if you're a writer without an artist and your script grabs out attention we'll try our best to find someone suitable to illustrate it.
If you're a talented artist without a writer and you're interested in getting involved I have several of my own scripts which need illustrating, and there's bound to be a few more scripts that get submitted by other writers.
So far we've accepted one script (which is now in the hands of the talented Dave Thomson), and three other creators completed strips. We'll be putting a minimum of 6 bi-monthly issues out (with more to follow if the comic proves successful enough) so there's plenty of room for more material.
At this stage payment is only in Digital Contributors Copies, though if the comic turns a large enough profit we'll see what we can do.
To all who have submitted something so far, it's very much appreciated. Pictsy, I eagerly await viewing you and Mr McNasty's strips in the new year.

Any writerly people looking for an artist? Ghastly, have I missed the boat on yours?
Thanks,
Will
Certainly not, Will. What's your style and what do you like drawing?
Hi Will
We have plenty of scripts ready to go, as there have been way more writers sending in submissions than artists. So we'd really like to hear from more artists.
Send us some examples of your artwork and we'll try and fix you up with a suitable script: biomekazoik@gmail.com

I tend to find the best method with artists is to hunt them rather than have them contact you. For the Psych Journal I don't think I've ever been contacted by an artist specifically, I tend to find the ones I like and ask them!

I'm doing that as well, Owen. Just trying as many methods as possible to bag artists, we've had a couple of top notch ones get in touch but a couple more wouldn't hurt.
last plug for the Xmas free download, which starts tomorrow...

Nice one, John. Who's the artist on this?

Nice one, John. Who's the artist on this?
It's an anthology, Chris of about five/six stories per issue. If you go to the first post in this thread and look at the cover to issue one, at the bottom it lists all the creative folks involve.
I meant on the promo piece there :)
That would be the slightly mad skills of Tony Suleri who provided art for both Xmas digital flyers. Here's his Blog: http://tonysuleri.blogspot.co.uk/ (http://tonysuleri.blogspot.co.uk/)
Tony is also the cover artist for issue two which goes on sale Saturday the 18th Jan. Here's a preview...

Good stuff mate, I like it.
Happy New Yar.
Here's the finished cover image as a promo. Art again by Tony Suleri with a few digital tweaks by me

Got the price wrong and left it too late for an edit.
From now on the price will drop to 69p/$0.99
bargain.
Hi folks,
to celebrate Free Comic Books Day, for a limited time you can now buy all three issues of 100% Biodegradable for the price of one ($0.99, which is around 60p). So if you're hoping to submit a strip and want to give the comic a look first, now's a good time to do so.
We've had lots of fantastic submissions so far, from newcomers and pros alike. There's even a few rather splendid 2000ad creators, such as Jim Alexander, Jon Haward and Graeme Neil Reid who'll be showing off some of their classic strips soon.
If you're an artist who's interested in getting involved but doesn't have much time on his/her hands, then I have plenty of one page scripts in need of talented artists. As well as appearing inside Biodegradable, these one pagers will be put out as a collection, and also submitted to various other anthologies. So it's a good chance to build up your credits.
Please send enquiries/art samples/finished strips to biomekazoik[at]gmail.com
Thanks for your time, and go run wild in your local comic book store!
