Title: VC's LOGO
Post by: Bolt-01 on 01 February, 2003, 03:54:58 PM
Sorry if I seem lazy, but I am looking for a logo (B/W) for the VC's.

I have looked around on the site for a while and all I can find is the one used on the Titan collections.

If someone knows where one is, or can scan one, I will be very grateful (please no smutty comments).

Rotts.

I bought a replica badge some time ago and was slightly disapointed with the general build quality.

You can see from the current featured prop badge that DD brought to our attention it is a bit rough at best.

I have suggested to 2000ads marketing dep. that they should produce an official replica badge, (like the keyring, but full size, resin cast and gold) all nice, neat and shiny, but as yet have had no reply.

Hands up who would buy an official Dredd badge.

Umpty puts hand up.

A proper real one would be amazing, I've always wanted one.
Proper size as well, not something like the one on the Anderson Statue.
I like the look of the lawgiver too but too pricey.

There is also the fact that I am not someone who makes things so stuff like unpainted minatures, kits etc are useless to me. Give me a prperly made final piece :)

Bloody good idea, if you ask me.... and call me barking mad, but I always fancied a Dredd helmet as well, along the lines of that absudly sexy replica of the Stallone one SD studios put out in '95.
Well, I thought it was sexy, anyway.

I think I'll go see a doctor....

Consider my hand to be, as you say, up.

Also i'll put in a shout for a replica Strontium Dog badge(again full size).

All those in favour say "Aye".

I have an SD helmet, and it is excellent, with one significant flaw.

Stuff shrinks during casting, which means that although the mould was made from a Stallone original, the final helmet is a little on the small side.

Who wouldn't want a helmet. In fact I'd like a whole collection of them (Sov etc).
This is one thing I would actually buy as a set of minatures (all in one go though).

I also suggested to the 2000ad marketing dep that a set of minature replica helmets would go down well, much like the replica NFL helmets available... or those Lord of the Rings helmets
Still ain't got no reply.

I'm increasingly convinced every other person who uses this message board lives in a huge, sprawling converted barn with more shelving than a six-storey library.

Where do you find the space for all this stuff? I can barely store my comics collection and I certainly don't want badges, helmets and replica Slaine loincloths cluttering up the place as well.

Framed art, I can manage, and even the odd statue, but helmets?

You people have very understanding wives. :-)

Nope, parents who don't really understand lol.
They do get my increasing artwork collection though, that makes more sense than all the bits and bobs I get (and that clutter up this room and my bedroom)

but you do require an understanding wife.

the ability to pay by cash is another prerequiste!!
credit card bills are not so easy to explain. :~)

Understanding missus and no kids, so I have the spare room to keep all the comics in. The few pages of artwork I have are hung up the stairs and my pinball machine is presently at a museum.
