Post by: ukdane on 02 February, 2003, 06:47:02 PM
What music do you listen to when reading 2000ad?
Anything specific, whatevers on, or can you only read it in complete silence?

Title: Bring Back the Old Masters
Post by: McNulty on 02 February, 2003, 08:03:00 PM
I would like The Mighty One to run a series of posters called the Old Masters. He did this a long time ago and I really liked this. The greats did a Star Scan featuring all the 2000AD characters which they drew over the years. One of my favourites was Bellardinelli. At the time, I didn't even know that he did some of the early Dredd strips.

Also, does anyone know if we can get these scans as a print, as I certainly wouldn't mind a couple.

Sometimes I have music on, but usually one distracts me from the other.

Yeah, I'm a silence guy too... although if a progs been REALLY damn good, I might have a quick blast of some fine tunes after, to keep the good times rolling on. Satisfaction by the Stones, something like that

The rumbling of the bus...

I sit comfortably begin to read, and then listen to the sounds of eveybody I've ever met asking me to assist them with some annoying task that couldn't wait until I've finished reading.

Usually its silence or the TV, due to other commitments.  ie Ive got to get to work or whilst Mrs DG is watching something on tele.

I am curreently redoing my whole house and once done I should have my own room and will be back listening to some sorta alternative rock, big beat or UK hip hop when reading my prog.  My God! It will take me years to finish.

OK This is a slight lie as silence usually works for me but if there was music you should be litening to then
Darkies Mob[backslash]Bad Company...The End by The Doors or 'When the Music's Over' The Doors.
Rogue Trooper...Unknown Soldier by The Doors again
I'll also go along with anything by the Beatles post '65 since you can do anything to that music.

silence
with the exception of the yachts bobbing up and down in the marina.
and the occasional power boat pulling out.

question related to this.do you read or more absorb and feel yourself as part of what the strip,in the same way a great book makes you part of it.
mega city one i must say is the strongest for this feeling, i often find myself there in my mind,
do i need help or is this a shared thing.
