Title: Zenith vs Zephyr
Post by: perrett666 on 04 February, 2014, 09:00:39 AM
Hi, I'm new to this forum but have read 2000ad since prog 86(?) when Starlord merged.

Apologies if this has been talked about before. I found a series of books online which seem to be a straight rip-off of Zenith: http://www.amazon.com/Zephyr-Phase-One-Warren-Hately-ebook/dp/B00C3C4OZU

The basic premise is almost exactly the same and the main character, even the Z and mask, are too similar for my liking. Is this legal?

As a massive fan of Zenith, I'd rather see new Zenith novels (not just old stories) for sale online than a rip-off.

"Zephyr: Phase One" nah nothing alike

At least they have good reviews I guess! Nothing worse than a badly written rip off.

QuoteZephyr is an ongoing serial that has been favourably compared to Watchmen and similar classics.

compared by whom, I wonder?

blatant rip off!

Give him a ring - ask if he's ever read Zenith.
