Sorry, Wake. I should have explained what I meant by "this kind of thing".

When a previous message's format affects the rest of the thread's messages, it's usually just a matter of including two end tags in a reply to turn them off, which didn't work for me when I tried it in this case. (Something not covered in the help section). However, I can now look at Odd's reply to see what tags he used (I think).

DD had turned on italics 13 times, and bold 7 times with only 6 italic closures and 1 bold closure before anyone else started helping close them. Before Oddboy's post, you'd only closed another 5 of each, so there were still a couple of italics tags still open.

So, each start tag still needs an end tag, you can't just close any number of starts with one end! Got it, thanks!
