Title: Is there a Dredd story where...
Post by: The Adventurer on 16 February, 2014, 07:13:28 AM
A Mega City One citizen is super obsessed with obeying the law and gets into trouble with Dredd anyway?

I'm just curious if such a story exists.

Not what you're asking about at all, but Battle Of The Black Atlantic (http://www.2000ad.org/?zone=prog&page=profiles&choice=128) (128-129) sees the solicitous Reginald Sweet come out of a section 59(d) crime blitz with a clean bill of health. Dredd points out that everyone commits a crime of some kind, even if it's a low level offence which is only worth a caution.

Again, not quite what you asked, but in The Urge (Progs 482-483 - Barney lists the story as Perp-Aid) petty crime addict Skid Mullard is desperate not to commit any more crimes and sincerely wants to obey the law. He enlists the help of support organisation Perp-Aid and all is going well - until Judge Dredd bullies him to breaking point, stops him getting help, and has him lobotomised.
