Dominic Harman, cover of INTERZONE #179
Fraser Irving, JUDGE DREDD: MY NAME IS DEATH (p.1 of 2000 AD prog 1289)

Richard Marchand, cover of THE THIRD ALTERNATIVE #32
Go, Frazer!
Fraser is god
Woo Peter Gric.
Rock on Tommy!
Yeah, I wonder how that happened... ;-)
The opposition is one previous winner and anything connected with The Third Alternative? Seems a bit one-sided. Here's hopin' spooky B&W nursery shenanigans romps it :)

Go, Frazer!

On second thoughts...
I'm submitting a story to Third Altrnative, so maybe I should cheer on their guys instead.
"JUDGE DREDD: MY NAME IS DEATH"
Yay for Frazer!
But I would have nominated him for his work on "JUDGE DEATH: MY NAME IS DEATH" personally.
The rejection letters from The Third Alternative aren't half as good as those from 2000AD.
In my experience.
congrats on frazer anyway
I was surprise he made it through to the short list in the end.
Members of the BSFA nominate entries and the top five ones with the most votes go to the short list. When it was nominated I never thought it would make the short list.
Still it makes a change from the 'Five covers from Interzone' we've had every year in the recent past.
I was asked to put up a news item about this yesterday, but I decided to ask Frazer for some padding first.

Link: Frazer nominated for Death
The danger of putting the original Death pic tryout up for an online competition on a non-2000ad site was that it might've been won by some 10 year old that'd never even heard of the comic at all, and used it for Crayola practice.
Luckily, it went to a good home. ;)
Is taht the one with the adult instead of the baby? I actually kind of prefer that one.
wow
he deserves it, recognition where it should be.
just for the nomination well done.
congrats to fraser.
can we vote for him? is there a link?
