Hah, you're right. I remember me and my brother obsessing for hours over those pictures, particularly the one where a crow has pecked through a sort of membrane on one of the tripods and is eating the red goo.
Yup reminded me of the red weed before I read any comments.
Best o' luck with it Kyle.
I'll definitely be giving it a shot.
Aye I'll take a look...
I checked out that album art and it does kind of look like that!
Looking forward to picking this up - I hope you sell a million!
Thanks, guys. The official announcement is now online on Image's website.

Adding to pull list. Looks awesome!
Thanks!
There's a glut of 'pocalypse comic books right now - zombiepocalypse, plantpocalypse, alienpocalypse, vampirepocalypse, nuclearpocalypse, rapturepocalypse, winterpocalypse, animalpocalypse, rapepocalypse, Superheropocalypse - but Spread is the only John Carpenter's The Thingpocalypse book on shelves and I am enjoying it more than most of its rivals*.
I also like that it has snowy backgrounds in it because I like artists to work like the dogs they are and then to worry if they've done enough.
* Red Rover Charlie had a talking dog licking its own balls. I am sorry, Kyle, but whatever competition we're having, that clearly wins.
