Someone's attempting to organise a screening of Dredd 3D in the near future.
Check out the Facebook page and comment and share, if interested! :)

Excellent, thats where I went to see Dredd when it was released so definately return if this goes ahead.
Looks like a nice old fashioned cinema from the images and a perfect venue to experience Dredd! :)

Screen 1 is HUGE and very grand, like an old theatre coverted to a cinema
Looks like Odeon want to guarantee sales of at least 100 tickets so a Kickstarter campaign may be coming your way to show your support for this screening on Halloween (at least thats the latest news on the Facebook group)
That's fair dues!
I'm sure we can rustle up at least 100! :)
Kickstarter up!
Screening set for October 31st 2014! :)

...can you do Kickstarters for that kind of thing?
I guess so!
How come the mighty Odeon brand needs to crowd fund a mere £500?
They don't, but the people hiring it do.
Sorry, I thought it was someone from Odeon doing it.
He works for them, but presumably they still need to do it as an official hire, rather than have 3 blokes and a dog turn up when they could be showing something that brings in more people.
Backed to the tune of two tickets for me and Mrs JudgeRufian.
Maybe this should be moved to the Events thread to get some more interest going?
Nice one Judgerufian!
I'm all for a move if it creates more traffic, we need to get this on!
If you're a fan of seeing the movie again on the cinema, make sure you share with your friends on the social networks and rope as many friends in as you can! :)

Have spread the news on Facebook & Twitter and word of mouth locally when I see my mates tomorrow night

Cool! :)
I've done likewise!
Have they got the Dredd sequel facebook page to pimp this? If not they really should do if they want to hit their target.

Check out the link on the first post! ;)
Sorry, meant to add that I posted the link on the make a Dredd sequel Facebook page and hope they will feature it prominently on the page! :)
I can't see a time mentioned anywhere!

Correction John, it was the Odeon Barnet Kickstarter bod himself who posted on the Make A Dredd Sequel Facebook site! I'll have to contact them and see if they'll put it in their front page! :)
Sort him out!
Well, I've finally got a blu-ray player that can play 3D, so there will be a Dredd 3D screening in my house on Sunday probably.
I finally have a 3D telly so settled down with a cuppa to watch DREDD 3D yesterday afternoon.
And fell asleep.
(Gravity 3D earlier in the day kept me thoroughly rapt though).
Can we not scrape together 50 people for this event?
London, you disappoint me! :(
I'm not surprised.
I've seen it at the fan screening, doing a promo at Leicester Square, on my own so I at least didn't feel guilty about seeing it for free, then with a mate who wanted to see it (by that time I was eehhhh...), then at Glasgow when Minty was showing before it, plus at least once on Blu Ray.
I live in London, and I'm not hugely arsed about seeing it again, or it would have to be a good while longer.
I still can't find a time on their info, unless I've missed it and that's the killer for me!
