Title: Tommy Vercetti: The Ultimate Hero
Post by: petemaskreplica on 12 February, 2003, 05:38:53 PM
Immortal, Cooll, Snappy dresser, and, if you know the cheats (anyone want any i'll e-mail you) then he's able to do ANYTHING. If only tooth characters could take a leaf out of his book, we'd have 'the adventures of Super-Vercetti' to enjoy each week. Ok, thas enuff rambling for now i think. Wow.

Incidently, anyone know the Vice City mission where you have to steal the fast boat?
First few attempts the boat shed (where the switch to lower the boat into the water is) had it's doors open, now though, they're forever shut & no ammount of ammo/flamethowers/huge trucks will open the buggers.
Grr.

>>Immortal

Surely you mean 'immoral'?

Fine game that it is, I saw Vice City described in this month's Edge as being 'morally repugnant'.

Before you get carried away with the power of the cheat- it's worth bearing in mind that they seriously affect your standing in the gangster community of the game.

I think I'm rated something stupid like "totally untrustworthy"

Obviously, I don't give a toss- I just want to steal as much as I can and kill anything that moves with a giddy flourish- but some people take their game status quite seriously.

i noticest that, but surely rockstar games, if they didn't want to let us have cheat fun they wouldn't have made the cheats available, right?

Oh and gordon, yep, immoral is one word, but tommy never truly dies, does he? Oh, the realism!

Not at all. The fact that you CAN do things doesn't mean you have to, so therefore (apart from the missions of course) you can go through the game being as nice as possible if you want. The morally repugnant amongst us can decide for themselves if they want to blow innocent people away at every oppurtunity. Personally, I only kill gang members and the law enforcers. Well, ok, I do have the odd game of 'Washington sniper'. I was doing it way before (in GTA3) the actual sniper event, so it's not a copycat killing :o)

Doug (the Butcher, as my stats say)

!!!

"I had to shoot some cops."

"No real people?"

"No, just cops."

I only kill cops if I really have to - running away is a much better option (keep that wanted gauge down before they send out the police helicopter)

Nice fun can be had mugging people at the beach though.

Possibly misworded that. Didn't mean to say that cops should be killed, only that I only kill people that try to kill me.

Never mind though, once Dredd v Death is out, the perps will get theirs!!!!

The good thing about GTA is that you can be totally helpful to the authorities...

You can drive an ambulance & pick up injured
people & take them to hospital

You can drive a police car & go vigilante & kill criminals

You can drive a fire-engine & put out burning cars/people

Alternitively, you can hospitalise people, kill cops & start fires, keeping the emergency services staff employed.

my new love on vice city: the dinghies! they're fast and speedy, as well as the bonus of them being cute! by the way, i've started again on vice city on another mem card, and this time i'm not using cheats. my outlook on it has changed- now i'm actually vunerable, understand the need for money, and need to keep the wanted stars off! amazing!
